Well, it seems the macro's are avoiding this system now. Or did a GM looked at the screenshots and took action? |

Death to all macro's. Too many of them, they are like roaches. TFS is helping in this effort to get rid of them. Let's just say, they responded with a caracal fleet. |

Overnight changes in farmer population are due to GMs. They'll come back , though , so keep camping them

That's their new method , a little odd but makes sense - T1 caracals are cheaper than combat ravens (and most farmers no longer have torp skills) or drakes. Sometimes , they'll use kestrel gangs too.

I recently came back down from the north to do some pirating in low sec Essence and Placid and have also been completely stunned with the hordes of macro haulers everywhere. In one system in Essence there were 50 haulers moving back and forth to high sec. What are they hauling?
Its so blatant and strange, its almost surreal to see them moving like a herd in, and out, for countless hours I suppose. This is totally new to see this level of macro activity. WTF is going on?
So we are supposed to sit there ourselves and petition each one we see? WE pay for the game too, I don't want to spend hours writing out petitions.

It's one thing to have players kill people in the name of the macro-crusade but having a CCP-employee killing people based on a judgement made during the time it takes a hauler to get to a gate is horrible.

If we could get even 100 dedicated fighters to pop 'n pod every macro on sight in these low sec systems I don't think it would take very long for them to at least disperse a little.
Seriously though it's like the bob thing. We need to quit talking about doing something, and quit watching a few motivated individuals do it by themselves, and start taking the fight to these bastards in massive numbers.
I have a wonderful vision of all activity in Eve grinding to a halt, and every player turning their attention to the destruction of this infection of our game. Oh the carnage... <changing shorts> |

Hade a convo with one of the macro dude's. He was saying things that he wanted to do to my mother, because i would'nt let him undock. Then he went on the "i'm a noob, just started" tour. Confronted him a couple of times, but then he said he did'nt understand what i was saying.
He continued to whine some more, then i blocked him. Too bad i had to log out. |

I once took 9 days of my busy training schedule to train a drake alt to pop macros without sec status worries.
After 3 drakes and one pod lost to local pies I stopped. It was especially disheartening to be ganked right as farming ravens were available.
Almost felt like the farmers were being protected tbh.
I still gank farmers with my main (me) from time to time as sec status permits, and currently it does not... -- Heat, easy to burn your mods by mistake, hard to get it to work when you need it the most. Well designed interface CCP! |

Took my less experienced (and currently not in a corp) character down to Verge last night in a Myrmadon. Got several kills on the droves of haulers there. Her current skills and setup don't allow for permatanking the guns. At least not in that ship so I didn't get to have as much fun as I would have liked. I really want to take my main down in her Raven or NH and bbq them all, but I can't take the sec hit. Oh well I'll get a Blasterthron for her pretty soon and have a field day.

It's fairly obvious that they are here to stay and will continue to get even worse. They were bad a year ago, they are horrible now, one can only assume they will be ridiculously pervasive in the future.
I suspect these jackasses are thereason why LP cost of items are so completely ridiculous. 600,000 LP + huge number of other crap for a CNR, etc.
Only way to deal with them effectively is for CCP to do it. I don't see that happening due to the hundreds, possibly thousands of accounts these people use and pay for so...
So I guess we can either hire n00b mercs to come and clear out your system of them, join a anti-macro corp, do it yourself with an alt, or just throw up your hands in disgust.

Simple solution:
Don't allow effective mining and level 4 - missions when not in a player driven corp.
People can then wardec and gank the hell out of them.

It's not well known, but tiller was once given a Jovian BS for this purpose, along with having his sec drop for attacking/podding revoked. He immediately headed for Jita and went on a 12 hour rampage after a noob ship accidentally bumped his BS, before Oveur smacked him and took his ship away.
A bystander managed to FRAPS the ensuing madness after the initial bump, the video is available here: Linkage ------------------------------

Best thing I did in a long time a my friends came out to watch was I created an alt Ammar Special Forces. Trained to BS 1 loaded down with SB's think I got 7 on it. Flew out to 50 km off an ice belt. Selected my group. No respsonces to Convo's. Book Marked them. Warp to 0 of mark. Lagged up for about 20 secs. When everything caught up. THEY didn't leave in fact the hauler just showed up. And BOOOOOM 6 barges and 1 Hauler 6 Pods. My friends told me that ConCord showed up they had never in thier whole Eve experince seen so many of them. Took me 8 days of training off of my main and 75 million Isk out of pocket. but man it was great. Might just have to do that again.

Damn , I guess I should be advertising my corp more.
We're 20 dedicated pirates exterminating macrohaulers every day since last year. We had quite an impact on Orfrold and Ingunn , that used to crawl with farmers and now became practically deserted. I often considered organizing the siege of Ingunn but there are other systems with more infestation that need such an attention.

Pretty much. x up in Chaining Farmers guys

If the jihadswarm had focused on killing macrominers , they would have disappeared by now.
But the first step is to not allow ISK farmers in your 0.0 alliance - or ignoring blue standings if you have no say in alliance diplomacy. Entire powerblocks are sheltering these parasites. Eventually , when we're done cleaning lowsec of this infestation , we will carry on persecuting farmers in 0.0 - and whoever has them set to blue.

This is the sad truth, many powers of the 0.0 regions will turn a blind eye for 500m/week from the farmers, and as thus if you know were to look (...i'm thinking of certain systems near the dek/venal border...) you can find 3-4 farmers in ravens just ratting in one system all day.
As a matter of fact with a bit of speed you can catch them with their pants down, as they are mostly complete idiots when it comes to shooting anything that isn't a red "+".
The one saving grace of eve, where macro farmers were able to take over in other games, is that (almost) no matter what you're packing, if you're dumb enough, you will die. In 95% of cases the raven pilots are very very stupid (for example packing shield boosters AND cap power relays ), and will die if you manage to catch them. Hopefully we'll soon(tm) see CCP implementing the previously promised way of locating non-covops cloaked ships, as the farmers who go cloak and then go afk in 0.0 are getting mighty aggravating.

why tax em without gaining? try this instead: Camp macros like all hell......bring in alt and sell expander I's and bestowers/itty 3's at roughly 3mill each and rake in the isk as they buy your ships, undock, and die again....only to redock and start the process over

We can only reply with the generic "thank you for reporting this" type reply. But you just might catch the result in the General Discussion forum a few weeks later depending on the circumstances.
But yes, letting us know through the petition system will be more fruitful (although probably more boring) than posting about it here.
To put it simply. 1. We know there are macro users and farmers in the game. 2. We need to be tipped off through the petition system to actually go do something about them. 3. Names of the pilots are appreciated, the more the merrier.
As you were good sirs.

And how hard would it be for you to datamine characters doing mission 23/7 out of Jovainnon, Loes, Ingunn and whatever the Amarrian macro hotspot is?
Why rely on unreliable human reports when you could just QUERY YOUR OWN ******* DATABASE!
No, you got this all wrong... this is like the Matrix, you need to place your agents in game and defeat the Macroers in one-on-one combat, you can't just DELETE FROM 'food' WHERE 'rebel' == TRUE.
Er. So, I'll not get banned if I start suicide-smartbombing all the 23/7 miners in the high-sec ice belts? Sweet!
Any Anti-Macro corps looking for a 4.5 Mil drone pilot?

A little off topic, so I hope you will all forgive me, but how do you catch and kill macro haulers? At Mamet I tried to kill a hauler, after repeated convos were ignored, but as soon as I opened fire, the station shot me to bits... I'm guessing a jump gate at Mamet is the same?
WHat do I do? Follow them through the gate until they get to a 0.x system? x being the question I suppose...
Anyone able to help? I want to join the fight against macro anything, but need some tips really....

perhaps instead of banning macros CCP could permanently put em into the factional warfare corps with no way out. In cases where its proven. Would allow us real players to shoot em, basically stuff up the characters even if they are out mining it them makes them poddable over and over and well u get the idea. Farmers would have no idea whats going on, no recourse the only option is to remvoe the character and start again. Should discourage it and provide some shooties for the real players

well every time you blow up a macroers ship his family get a bit less rice. So how is laughing at this earthquake any different? - Violence isn't the answer, it is the question. The answer is yes. |
