How exactly should one fit a control tower for miners to refine their ice/ore in? Thanks for the assistance.

simple anchor a small tower, a med intensive refining array, and a corp hangar array, and you are all set

Edited by: Pamangkin on 01/05/2008 16:54:49 nope small can't handle medium intensive. Medium tower with Medium intensive refining array, reg. refining array (if you like) Corp hangar.

Edited by: Evansec on 01/05/2008 17:11:48 Do we need to add silos also?

Keep in mind the limits POS refiners have: Only one type of ore at a time (Dense Veldspar separately from Concentrated Veldspar), it takes time to refine (not instant like in stations), if the refiner is offlined during a cycle, you lose the results, and worst, they have a maximum yield of 75% on ores. (Ice always gets 100% yield.)
Unless refining ice, much easier and faster to fit a few more Hangers, get a Rorqual, compress the ore, and move it to a station.

Hangars are useless. Large ship assembly array needs only 300k grid (compared to 100k of hangar), but can hold 18.5M m3, while hangar only 1.4M. |

what can you store in a ship assembly array? just mins and ships or generic stuff? |

The Assembly arrays behave just like corp hangers, just larger. |

I believe someone recently mentioned it's also better to fit 2 medium arrays rather than one large one... c/d ? |

For ice it is better to just put 2x or 4x normal refineries down, but for ore you want the higher efficiency you get from the medi or large ones. |

can i set the assembly array on alliance usage? that would be a good reason to not use corp hangar arrays. |
