I didn't imagine for a minute that I'd win, but the insurance was about to run out on the 'rax and I had another ready to go about 5 jumps away, so i thought 'what the hell, give it a go'! It was a close thing, I finished with about 15% structure, but it was great! Don't think my victim was as stoked about it as I was though teh KM It was quite a long time ago now though. (with a 3 slot tank only as I was setup for tackling) These days no great feat, but this was before the HP changes and rigs so tanking was pretty tough... at end of 'fight' my raven was burning with <10% hull left, but what a buzz :) It was first kill of one in low sec solo.. though I believe some dude killed one solo in 0.0 a few days before, but thats kinda easy :). I was lucky though, took him into hull then he logged off, I retreated to 200km snipe spot and finished the job, took one hell of alot of cruise missiles.

I'm camping a gate for war targets in a cloaked Arazu when three guys (2x Kestrel 1x Cormorant) from another corp show up to camp the same gate (they had also decced my target). A minute later, a hostile Drake + 2 Caracals pop out of the gate. Since I had 5 scrams instead of damps (don't ask), I wasn't gonna get in the middle of that and I ran to a station to get my Brutix. By the time Scotty the frigging docking manager lets me undock, the hostiles had run the other 3 guys off the gate but they hadn't left yet. The Drake and I tackled eachother on the gate and we had a helluva brawl. My jammer drones kept 1 of his Caracal buddies off me. I killed both of them and the 2nd Caracal warped off. To scoop loot, I had to eject my cap charges. When I came back to get them, the last Caracal was back and shooting at one of the other guys and I managed to tackle and pwninate him too. Heart didn't stop pounding for a good half hour. They were just noobs but it was still the best fight I've had in a while. -- Let Us Avoid Systems Via Autopilot

Started shooting him and broke his tank pretty quick when he was on about half hull a cane warped in and started shooting i finished the ferox tehn tackled the cane and BBQ'd him pretty quick. I was real happy after the fight because they were both about a year older than I was then I seen the fits they had (.

Also took out a smacktalking noobpirate megathron in my arazu while he begged and pleaded in local for me to "let him target me so he could fight back" as I slowly ate away at him for like 10 minutes (yeah, arazu dps isnt great). That one was great for the LOL factor.

One megathron stayed behind after the blob left. I smacked him a bit in local and then ganged him and asked him to warp to me and finish me off. At that point I was sitting with 3 npc battleships and 3 scrambling interceptors. Lets just say his gankfitted mega went down fast

I did solo a group in Amamake when I first started pirating. I saw a Sacrilege in a belt, figured ah I'll go for it. Didn't really check local to see if he had friends. Warped to the belt, he wasn't moving so I now started to feel as if it was a trap but being that I don't really care about losing ships I decided to engage. 2 harbingers, 2 drakes, stabber, vigil warped on top of me. I said to myself "well ****" but stuck it out instead of warping (seeing how I was warp disrupted :o ). Everyone died but the 2 drakes who ended up warping after the 2nd harbinger died (5 kills total). Too bad this PC can't really handle fraps, I would have made a nice movie by now. Oh this was done in my Blaster Rokh. Don't hate me, learn to love me

It remains my proudest achievement and most thrilling solo match ^^ Keep in mind, I'm a newb with an old trial account. He was a war target and at the time it seemed like any other fight (ie: I would do some dmg and probably die). I hadn't noticed I was up against a battleship instead of the t2 cruiser he had flown before. The damage should have tipped me off though, if the drones didn't. Needless to say, my jaw dropped after the kill when I checked what a Tempest is. I had a dual rep fit and flew with all T1 stuff. I closed the distance and was almost out of armour when I reached him. I tackle (only a 7.5km scram), open fire and try keep injecting boosters fast enough to keep my cap up. He's a tough nut and it doesn't help that at each of my repair cycles he does slightly more damage than I can fix, and starts nibbling away at my structure. By the time I run out of cap boosters - he is at the end of his armour and I'm nearly half into structure. I stop everything except the scrambler and a repairer and we sit there watching our drones determine the end, me firing off a singleshot blaster every now and then. Some agonising seconds later and he pops. He's a good sport about it and I limp away for safety. I didn't have the sense to stop for repairs so his friends get me at a gate one system out. Why thanks, thanks very much for asking. I never get tired of reviewing those oh-so-rare moments of glory! Most recently, I am fond of remembering the time I killed a Drake in my blasteranis. What fun! But my most epic battle to date has to be the time I killed an Enyo, Moa, Claw, and Exequeror, and drove off a Thorax--while flying a Vexor! I believe I was just a 3-month-old noob pilot at the time. Thanks for making me dredge that memory up again! No doubt had my opponents been more experienced or better prepared, I would not have fared so well. But such victories illustrate the old motto, "Fortune favors the daring." If we always treat every pilot as if he's experienced and his ship is well-fit, we'd have much fewer fun solo kills. (Speaking for myself, I'd also have much fewer losses; but such kills are worth it.)

Killing a Drake and two remote-repping, armour-tanking Ravens using EM torps on my Raven was kinda fun too. I eventually docked at 4% hull... would have been easier if I'd switched ammo though.
THEHUNTER123 Minmatar Filiolus Of Bellum	Posted - 2008.05.02 11:34:00 - [31] killed a geddon semi solo sat in low sec being bored when my m8 shouts in corp chat ' GEDDON ON SCAN!!' only the 3 of us in system he jumped in his wolf and found him tackled him while im sat there setting up a thorax ( being the only ship i had there ) so i jump out warp to my buddy and he is running around the geddon mwd on getting shot at. i lock the geddon down and put a point on him my m8 then warps off and starts ***ing with another corpie so im pounding on this geddon on my own slowly leaking into armor ( me being nano'ed ) . the geddon is just about in to hull and he warps and i scream in corp chat ***** WCS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! feeling a bit annoyed i go back dock and repiar. 20min 8tr he is back im thinking yep gonna have WCS on (i put a close range 2 point scram on) run up pew pew his ass and he goes pop ( also shouting in2 corp chat 4 help with ammo ) my corp then comes out and pods him when i was ransoming him . well thats the funniest best or w/e u wanna call it geddon kill he had faction ammo and riggs =( can you say isk buyer ( also had large artys on xD ) and a T2 WCS shame it went pop that would have been a trophy prize

DutchGunner	Posted - 2008.05.02 13:11:00 - [37] Best solo kill I had so far must have been a drake Not so special i know, but it was in a lowsec system at a gate where the drake attacked me, and his buddy geddon went at me too. I knew from the moment the drake attacked me it was just a bait so the geddon would unleas his firepower. Turned out i was tanking them both withouth too many problems and i think the geddon ran out of cap as he ran by jumping through to the other side. The drake was left behind and i sure tought him not to mess with me. Made a nice opening fight for my movie and certainly one of my biggest personal victories. They were both fitted for pvp so i'm very pleased with how it went DutchGunner

This was, fyi, the first time I had flown the ship. ever. Get a few jumps out, find a harbinger sitting on the gate, we lock each other, do some flying around, etc. Neither of us wanted to engage under sentry fire so he warps to the planet and is starting to align to warp out again when i find him, lock, scramble, open fire. I'm tanking him just fine and as he hits 50% structure a hurricane warps in and I'm not quick enough to get out before getting webbed. Harbinger pops, still fighting he Hurricane, not quite tanking him. Hurricane pops, I scoop loot, and bugger off right about the time their friend in an Astarte shows up. Good loot, too!

Exxxotic	Posted - 2008.05.02 19:43:00 - [41] soloed a hurricain in my rax, just as he was about to hit strut a proph warped in and agroed me, popped the cain, then killed the proph, then a brutix warped in so doing well till i ran out of charges but managed to use my last power to mwd away warp to station, was pretty chuffed. also not quite solo, but tanked a sniper macharial for a few mins, long enough for buddie to get to its spot in a rapier, when they first came out so was not expected, and we killed it :)

Lady Abaris Shih Yang Tong	Posted - 2008.05.03 02:50:00 - [44] Back in the day (2005) I was flying cover for my old buddy Lanfears Bane who was in a hauler in a low sec belt, I was in my Ishkur. We got jumped by an Arbitrator, Thorax and a Ferox who clearly thought we were an easy kill. As soon as the 3 ships arrived I had hit MWD and had gotten myself close to them, Banes Hoarder had room to warp out but Bane being Bane chose to stay and offer support in his own inimitable style. The Arbitrator started locking me at about the same time as I locked it my drones were out and soon my blasters were shredding it. As it went into structure I got my drones onto the Thorax which was closing fast. The Arbitrator popped. The Thorax couldn't track me as I went in fast and close and again started to go down fast. The Ferox had kept its distance and was delivering support fire. I was aware that the Ferox was moving to warp and as the Rax went into structure I moved off and got a point on the Ferox. My drones finished of the Rax who's pilot I think didn't realize he was no longer scrammed. The Ferox pilot however realizing he was going down fast and having seen his 2 friends die made offer to pay a 20m ransom which I accepted and he flew out. I found out later that their gang leader had mistaken the Ishkur for the t1 frig and all three were somewhat surprised when the drones first spewed out. Still one of my favorite Eve encounters and I miss those days when fights happened frequently in low sec belts.

He returns later in a brutix, I can flip agian and he aggros me. It takes forever to get to his structure, and as he hits like 5, his friend warps in and pops me. Arg. Wel, I see that they both warped out to station. I go to the station and dock, he undocks right then, I jump in my geddon and undock, there he is, siting out of dock range with 5% hull. BOOM. Yay.

I started it all by canflipping one of their miners in an ishtar hoping to get a fight with the raven that was standing watch. Instead the whole corp formed up and came out 1 minute after the 15 minute timer ran out. So I stole from a can they provided again and screwed with them for a while, almost killed their interceptor. Then I realized what garbage a nano ishtar is without support so I went back and renewed the aggro timers of their two battleships and went three jumps away to get my dominix. Came back got a ****ty warpin on them, warped out, then came back right on top of them. The whole time they were talking smack in local. They all quieted down when the first battleship went down. Not another word after the maelstrom followed 3 minutes later. They were both terrible setups, but I had no way of knowing that when I engaged.

Damares Maximum Yarrage	Posted - 2008.05.05 10:22:00 - [65] had some epic ones. first night of a war, i was the only on online in yarrage and was sitting in a station in my torp raven, they'd just buffed the torps at this point and i wondered what the dps was like (having t2 torps i was kinda glad id used the sp on them than cruises). the ceo of the enemy corp was outside with his corp camping me while i watched tv waiting for the guys. he kept smacking me telling me i was a chicken for not coming out to 1v1 him. i knew his corp would join in the second he started loosing and plus, i didnt have a tackle, it was a loose loose, i die or he starts to die and runs. well after a good 30 mins of ** from him he tells me his corp is leaving system and so i think, whatever, ill just fight this guy, his corp is bound to jump in the very second im agressed. i loaded t2 mjolnir's in and undock and there hs is, 25km off undock in his cruise raven i opened fire and he never had his hardeners on, 2 volleys, like 13seconds he was through shield, he realised what was happening and hit warp, unfortunaetlyfor him he was dead before he finished aligning and went off in his pod. Then, to add to that, his corp had jumped in and warped in, they were in BC's mostly and i managed to add a drake to the kills before they ran away. Another awesome one, well, id just changed my hotkey on vent and had forgotten, we had found a HUGE mining op with only a scorpion defending it so though, yeh lets spoil this party, i got told to go in a start flipping in my geddon, so i did. now i think im talking back to the guys here but am infact not coz im pressing my old hotkey.... i warped in, flipped the can and am immedietly scrammed and perma jammed the miners start laughing at me and saying, hey damares, your so dead and bye bye damares. all the guys on vent are like whats happening D, and i suddenly realised and screamed down vent "IM GETTING GANKED IM F**** JAMMED" all the miners started warping and coming back in cruisers and even a nighthawk. well im still perma jammed and the guys warp in but cant do anything, i realised i could tank them, aslong as i had cap injectors so the guys dropped all the cap 800's in a can for me and i sat tanking while we thought of a plan, we set stang flying more cap charges for me in his maelstrom :) after about 15mins i told the guys to screw it i wasnt getting out of this, i hadnt had even 20 seconds not jammed in the full thing.... there was silence for a minute before fanged shouted "NO!!! MINERS CAN NEVER WIN!!! NEVER!!!" so we kept thinking, then someone suggested remote eccming me.... duhhhhhhh, nearest ones where 5 jumps away so fanged went off, when he was nearly there we realised, can fanged even use them, after a few seconds of waiting, he said, yes. so back he came with a full rack of remote ECCM on his domi, warped in, boosted me up and the scoprion never jammed me again, i warp scrammed him and trashed him in seconds, no tank and some very nice jammer for me. i destroyed a moa and no one else was scrambling me so we ran for it. laugh about that night regularly.

I scan a stabber in a belt and decide to try and catch him. Needless to say he kept running from me in that belt. After a few mins i realise it must be a bait or something so i keep a close eye on local and scanner. Sudendly a raven, a brutix and a deimos jump in (i knew from scanner) in the same corp as the stabber. I warp to a station and wait for them there... In a few sec they all warp in at the station and start engaging (the brutix docked). I launch my ogers (t2) and primary the deimos, and quickly realise it is being remote repped by the scorp. I switch target of my drones to the scorp just as i get jammed. I thought i was dead... my tank was slowly failing (the fact that i had 3 active hardners saved me as thy had explosive drones). Baing webbed and jammed induced such a hoplesness... Then to my surprise the scorp pops!! (he had a weak tank and probably was low on hp from my drones and couldn't warp out fas enough when the sentrys primaried him). I regain lock just as the brutix undocked and started shooting me also. I primary the brutix which was gank fitted and he died instantly. Sadly the deimos managed to move away from me and i couldn't catch him before he warped out. I scramed and webbed the stabber which warped out (stab...). Was a preaty fun fight!

When i saw to 2 Battle ships on scaner, i quickly uncloaked and warped at optimal for my 1400 II, starting to take sentry fire. I thougth "one of them i should be able to kill", funny thing, i killed them both. The first had almost no res at all and whent down very fast, the 2nd tryed to warp out when it was close to hull.. but to late. Me giving 500-1000 (+wreckings) dmg per gun (6 guns) every 6 seconds can be hard to warp out from. And once i almost killed one Machariel at gate (low sec, took fire from sentry guns) when 1v1, but when he was at 50% armor he stoped to fire, waited out the agression time and jumped.. he thogth he was safe poor guy.. on the other side he was scrambled webbed and killed from 5-6 members from PC (Pirate Coalition), Hail to 1400 II ! test tets test

They weren't the best fits but they were reasonable (the myrm had an armour tank a drones whilst the drake had a sheild tank and heavys so they were along the right lines) and I had a kick ass tristan setup (wouldn't work any more due to NOS nerf) but the kill looks good on paper.

Jumped my officer/deadspace fit vindicator into a lowsec system. into a big pirate camp. 4 bs 1 bc 2 recons. Jumped into a bubble in a nighthawk with rax, stiletto and sabre waiting there for me. So, nothing that could even sc*****me. I started slowboating towards the edge of the bubble and then funnily enough they threw some fighters on me =) Sadly enough, stiletto and sabre got away. Rax and 6 fighters did not =) I got to the edge of the bubble safely and calmly warped away =)

I don't even remember if I had drones. I remember my cap booster reloaded and I got one more cycle of the XL shield booster when I was one volley from death, I barely won. It was against a very well known character, going into the battle I didn't think I stood a chance, neither did he. It was a somewhat arranged fight. Pure boredom led me to agree to a 1v1, although when he asked for it he didn't expect anyone to step up as he was in a 30 man gang. We started from 50km away which was a huge disadvantage for me as cap booster charges (I had seven) and Large Ammo were huge at the time. I had only one ammo, 300 units or so of EMP L. My optimal was about 20km. At 50km I was well into fall off but I continued to march toward him. Even at 40km I'd still occasionally get wrecking hits of 1150 with this setup. Purifier warps to the gate 30km from me and forgets to cloak. Sac jumps in, warps to the Purifier then off to 250 above the gate. I figure blow up the Purifier, and when the sac warps to me... Double web and run away. So that was the plan. I approach the Purifier starting from 30, cycle the MWD so i bump him just before I finish targeting so he can't get away and Launch drones. POINT, WEB and shoot. Predictably the Sac warps to save his buddy. I am now 15k orbiting, and drop a web on the Sac. (at this point the Purifier blows up) I notice that the Sac is still going like 350m/s. He is Nanoed!. I keep my speed up and tank his missiles. Results are below. - Best fight I have had in a while. Ash Vincetti Decorum Inc Tygris Alliance	Posted - 2008.05.23 06:21:00 - [117] Edited by: Ash Vincetti on 23/05/2008 06:22:50 best solo kill was a ratting raven in alliance space when i was floating about in my malediction. he was engaging BS rats, and I tackled him and started plinking at him with light missiles, doing **** poor damage. the poor sod had a paperthin tank, and started breaking (mostly due to the rats, but also because he shifted fire to me instead of finishing off the rats, was amusing seeing a trail of cruise missiles going in circles around him without being able to hit me). he must have called for help, because a cerb, domi and drake came to his rescue, just as he was in half structure. i said what the hell, and kept a point on him till he popped, then orbited the wreck and killed it and then the pod because he stuck around to "watch me get pwned by his alliance", and toyed around with the other three for a bit until a hugginn pilot came into local, at which point i bailed out. what's funny is the guy went off to his POS safespot everytime i came into local after that, no matter what ship i was flying ----- free bree!

I ended up in 1/3-1/4 armour when he exploded, very intense fight. Soloing a Drake in a Wolf I barely broke this one. It's rather challenging trying to rep the (very reduced though) damage of a Drake while micromenaging heat to break his peak recharge. I had somewhat inferior skills at the time so the Wolf was unrigged (later I rigged it for more damage output). Ishtar vs Hurricane I was in my dual rep Hurricane (and I was lacking the top notch skills I trained up since then), and you can imagine how long breaking this with Barrage and CN Fulmination HAMs took (he had dual explosive hardeners, lol). Blaster taranis in a Rifter I actually killed this guy twice in my Rifter vs his blaster Taranis. Both extremely fast paced and exciting fights, and both times left in deeep structure. Rapier in a Rupture Technically not a solo kill because my CEO ninjaed his way on the KM when the guy was in structure, the bastard. Anyway, he did make a mistake in engaging in webrange and I menaged to hold him there for long enough to ECMs to get a jam at which point he was wasted. Heating the web is win ;) Oh, and I really liked this one: Vagabond in a Cynabal Technically not solo because my mate in a Myrm sent a bit of warrior IIs his way (we had a Myrm and my Cynabal and they had two Vagabonds and a Hawk, but weren't flying as a group. Neither did we because my mate didn't have a MWD on (?)). This was done in a gank fit (only tank was a DC II) Cynabal fitted for a mix of gank and speed/agility. Was rather intense, ended up with 40% armour and a lot of heat damage since I was heating guns from start to finish ;) Also, I'm rather proud of my few kills soloing PvP fit Stabbers in a AB Rifter. Always exciting and often uncomfortably close. I've got a screenshot of one such kill: finishing off a stabber. When im one jump out, corpmate accidentally gets webbed by one of the AF's and gets popped... I jump in to the system, warp to a belt, quikly an AF (wolf i think) finds me. I pretend to run away and warp to a planet. I realese my ogres just as the wolf arives with the rest of his gang 2 x stealth bombers and 5 x AF's an the fight begins... My corpmate who lost the hac to them earlier is on his way back with another from the corp... all the AF's was close range fitted, which ment that my ogres was having an easy job to do with me webbing them. But still they did a pretty impressive amount of dps and my tank was slowly failing... One by one the AF's atarted dropping and as i enter structure there is only one AF and the two SB's left... at this time the corpmates arrive just in time to get on the killmail from the last AF, when that was down the SB's left... Im in structure and have 2 cap boosters left stats: 1 vs. 7 5 kills 0 losses and I found out that they was pretty well fitted, T2+rigs... Was a nice fight...

Busy causing mischief in high sec belts, I notice this Rapier who has a bounty and looking for fun. After some wordplay, I say whatever and engage him in my Vexor. Strangely, he runs away when my drones begin to bite him. Feeling sad for I possibly could have taken him, I keep roaming the belts in system. Like 10 mins later, I return to the original belt, and he's still there, still flashing red and.. uhmm.. in a Broadsword. I was already drunk and I was feeling itchy cuz he had warped off in a Rapier earlier, so I just engaged. That was prolly the best decision I ever made in EVE so far. =) It took me a while to chew his shields, and when he was into armor and it started to bleed, I realized I had broken his tank already, and I was happy as a puppy. =P So here it is - Vexor under 2 months vs the 2 and a half years old Broadsword And it felt soo good.. =)))
