I would simply love to press a button and swap my howitzers and shield boosters for miners and cargo extenders. It would be pretty easy, I think. You would just have a couple buttons (1,2,3, etc). You can configure each one seperately and then, instead of spending the time swapping around your loadouts and hunting for the stuff in your hanger, trying to remember what you had on ther before you went mining (okay, I refust to write it down just yet), you can just press the button. The stuff would just be in the hanger at that station and accessed in the ship loadout screen.

An incredibly handy idea, good for switching between close combat/long range combat/pvp/general etc. ..:: Electro-shock therapy ::..

Good Idea....
Buuuuuuutttttttttt...
What happens when I don't use my Kestrel for awhile & I sell 2 of it's Modules along the way? Or, what happens when I assign the same item to 2 ships? How do you propose that you keep things locked down & in your hangar for each loadout?
I guess one idea for that would be to flag each item for a particular loadout with 2 things:
-Which ship it is reserved for -Which loadout it is reserved for
In this way, you would be able to determine that it is designated to a particular ship, then make a decision whether it is needed for that particular loadout....such as when you're selling items, making new loadouts, or reprocessing.
There's probably other ways that you 'smart-folk' can come up with...soo...let's hear 'em
-This has been another (PLEASE VOTE: Good Idea, Pointless Brainstorm or Brainfart) from D3.

This idea has come up before, e.g. Planetside has a loadout "favorites" list.
I wouldn't get too complex - just unfit everything you have on currently, and fit each item in the given preset from your items hangar onto your ship. If no item is available, the slot remains empty. At the end you get a message saying if the refit was successful, or otherwise what items were missing and didn't get fitted. Perhaps allow items to be taken from available corp hangars if necessary, again with notification. ____________________________________
