Other than better mining, is there any financial incentive to move to 0.0?
I'd like to try to move out there, but I hate mining, and can't see any financial incentive to move out there... It looks like you just pay more to be able to blow up and get blown up. |

ratting, but solo no, get a good corp.
well solo might work, but you will need a fast mobile ship and that will gimp you a bit, Ishtar should work for this

Just join a good corp out there. My main is in a drone regions corp and can make a ton of ISK ratting. I simply prefer to PvP with him and run missions in the relative security of Empire. |

You can make money solo ratting in 0.0, but you have to plan and scout carefully, arrange ammo drops, watch local all the time, and accept that some days you will be hunted and unable to make any isk.
The way I work it is that any money I make over the value of my ship and fittings less insurance payout is profit, and that at some time you probably will lose your ship. Therefore the idea is to get into profit before you lose your ship!

It's easy to make isk ratting in 0.0. What's harder is making more than you would doing other stuff in hisec. The places where it would be relatively easy to do so will also have the most people disrupting your ratting--whether hunting you, competing for the same spawns. Or just passing through--it can be nerve-wracking ratting in a busy pipe.
The cool thing about ratting even in low quality 0.0 from an isk standpoint is the possibility of a lucky drop, which can outdo weeks of mission running. But these can be a long time coming.
That's just a practical comparison. There's more to it, like what you find most enjoyable. And then there's other possibilities for 0.0 income too, like trading and mission running. But I haven't done any of that myself. |

0.0 is the place to be - NPC space though unless you join an alliance with sov. PVP when your bored of PVE and PVE when your bored of PVP... fly careful and you'll make enough ISK to make it worthwhile being there. I'm zipping around solo happily enough - at least until I start recruiting
