Ok ive been piloting a chimera and a archon accross my accounts now for 6months on the chimera and 1.5years on the archon. Im just curious if its worth me buying one of these? im short only a few bil and could make that up but im wondering what advantages it holds above the current carriers and would be interested in other mom pilots inputs. |

are you a few bil short of the ship price or of ship/fitting? The wyvern is one of the most expensive ships in the game to fit properly, and no a t2/faction setup is not a proper fit. |

i have the money for the ship covered, i have pith-b type hardeners and amplifiers for it already and dg invuns along with some officer cpr's im just short on the figthers and smartbombs needed for a good setup i also have caldari carrier 4 which is half skilled towards level 5. |

The Wyvern is a nice ship but personally, if I had the choice, I'd go for an Aeon instead as it's more useful in a gang situation. For example 6 of the 8 carriers and motherships armour tank, the Wyvern and Chimera are the only (official) shield tankers of the bunch which immediately cuts down your effectiveness in the logistics department. Also the Aeon is gold and 525% more sexy than the Wyvern. |

That made me chuckle especially the gold sexy part, i suppose you have a valid point. I have amarr carrier 4 anyways so it wouldn't really take much longer. I might re-sell some mods for armor mods and go for that, thanks |

Yeah, my only concern when it comes to Caldari Carriers/Motherships is that they shield tank in an armour tankers world. If you spend enough money on it you will have a personal tank that no other Mothership could match, but remote repairing is more difficult.
Also, personally I think the Wyvern looks better than the Aeon, even though I fly Amarr. But then again recently I've been starting to like the whole Caldari look anyway so meh. Maybe it's just a phase.

i wouldnt use a MOM whitout carrier 5.. the +3 fighters per lvl is just to awesome and other bonuses allso :)

What other capitals will you be flying with? If you are going to be flying with minnie carriers alot, the Wyvern wouldnt be a bad choice to maximize your fleet's ability. |
