Hi, Just wondering if we can queue still training?? Meaning, I choose a number of skills that train one after the other. And if not, that is then a recommendation to be implemented. Would be good for people like me who cant get online much |

That is unhelpful feedback.
It's a "commonly suggested" idea for a reason- people have work, lives, and need to sleep sometimes. I certainly am not willing to wake up and log on at 4 am to change a skill, and I assume most other people are the same way.
Open up Evemon, go to the scheduler, and stick in "unavailable" times- when you sleep, when you go to work, and any other times you can't log on. Then bring up a plan and see how many of the skill switch times are red.
It's not a game killer, but it's certainly inconvenient. |

CCPs reasoning for not having this feature, if there is any, boggles my mind, tbh...
@CCP
Not every player is a 23 / 7 nerd, most of us have a real life as well, this means, omg, you won't believe it, stuff that doesn't bring us near our Eve clients.
ANY (!) reasonable person who has to choose between a real life experience or shooting at pixels on a monitor would choose the first one.
Not having a skill queue sucks big time, especially in the following cases:
a) Mostly skills > 4 and < 20 hours
b) No really rewarding level 5 skills left to train
c) Extended vacation or just "omg I don't want to be bothered for a while"
I don't care if you you stop skill training when accounts expire, go ahead... but don't expect people to accomodate for a computer game just because this easy to implement feature is against some esoteric codex of yours or whatever, I (and as it seems the greater part of your PAYING playerbase) couldn't care less.

Only real justification I've heard said...
If you could queue skills, then people would just set an endgoal skill like Titan or Freighter, and then leave it alone for a while. Then you'd see even more ready made characters on eBay than we already do. Which is interesting, that CCP allows buying characters... just not for real money. Evidently anything goes, so long as they're in on the deal? |

Edited by: Mike Rowlings on 04/05/2008 06:06:43 Everybody is complaining and/or being unhelpful because at the top of this forum there is a sticky called Commonly Proposed Ideas and in it you can find a link to a Skill Queueing idea.
BTW, last time I heard CCP is looking into putting this idea into practice but are still determining what the best design is.
Let's wait and see.
/edit: fixed link. |
