How much would you expect to be paid to read the forums?
How much would you demand to adjust the game for the players?
How much would you demand to listen to the flamers?
How much would you demand for being a developer, Polarias, marketing?
How much would you demand to have to be monitored and hounded?
How much would you demand for the overtime?
Geez, I would be making $250,000 a year!!!!
Where would we be if they stopped?
After all this I think we need a pay pal button to donate for the cause! --------------------------
Garsh ma it soo cool killing people in there space thingies |

Edited by: meowcat on 27/04/2004 15:14:26 i read the forums for free
20 euros a month per player seems reasonable
i listen to flamers for free
developers get paid well in my experience. If ccp arent paying enough, they will leave and work for someone else
everyone gets monitored at work
etc etc etc
ccp is no different to any other company, i'm sure... welcome to capitalism and the free market.
at least they are working with a game, and not banking software or SAP or whatever.
if they stopped we would be 20 euros better off, and someone else would fill their shoes eventually, as there is clearly a market demand ~~~~)\~~~~~\o/~~~~
yeah but no but yeah but no but |

And you forget the most important thing: CCP was actually founded by the same people who are developing EvE. You cannot think in normal "payed job" terms. Working with them is to be considered a privilege and an honor. And, when you do a work with passion, you can get over some stuff: They are surely working 24/7 (or next to that) to improve their software. And, dedication is something I appreciate in people. You cannot expect them to be perfect, dammit, even a 60 million dollar project like SWG is far from being optimal (guess why I left it and kept playing EvE instead....). As we said to people back in beta: "You don't like it? Don't play it." That's easy. It's just a game, remember.
I'm happy with what you did with EvE, CCP. It's been almost 2 years I've been around now, keep up the good work. I look forward to Shiva.

I believe the fine forum moderators from ISD (Insane Supreme Dictators) are all volunteers. So indeed they put up with a lot of crap so give 'em some slack!

Ok Eris hereÆs the deal, you run an event that funnels several hundred million isk to my account, then supply me with a real world name and routing number and IÆll make sure that something happens to your bank account.
Stop griping about server instability and go buy an EVE mug!
Additionally with the purchase of each mug you will receive two(2) invisible Elves.
