Hi everybody.
I'm Dymetrie and I am a veteran carebear standing for the Council of Stellar Management.
Vote for me here
More information about my campaign can be found here but here's a short statement.
I stand for the players as a whole rather than any indvidual group. I want to help improve the game for everyone, even those whose playing style is opposed to my own. Whilst I do not partake in pvp combat I feel it is an important part of the game and as such will not turn away questions or requests from this group even though it is a part of the game which I am not involved in.
I do, of course, have my own ideas on how I would like to see EVE evolve, but what I want is not as important as what the majority wants so I will do my best to try and represent the community as a whole.
I was interviewed by EVEmag, my responses can be found here and the full magazine can be found here.
I welcome all enquiries and will do my best to answer.

I have several questions, and taking a page out of Talkuth RelĘs book, I decided to ask each candidate in their own threadą
1) Invention ū A good idea that still needs worką a. Have you ever tried invention? b. What ideas do you have to improve invention?
2) Pilot Security Level ū Should it be more important? a. (In High Sec) ū Should Concord react faster if the victim has a higher security level? If the attacker has a lower rating? b. Should the Security Level of a system affect changes to Pilot Security level changes? c. Should the Security Level of a Targeted Pilot have more of an effect on the security change of the attacker?
3) Industry ū The Creators of Eve a. Do you regularly build anything? b. Do you regularly mine? c. What do you think could be done to improve industry in Eve? d. You have been asked to help with new ships for industrial characters, describe a few ideasą

Whilst I have not directly invented anything then I have worked with another member of my Alliance who has the skills to do so.
From what I can gather then invention could well be harmful to the economy of EVE as it seems that the main things people want to invent (such as command/battleships) to garner a large profit are not actually as profitable as many would like.
From what I can see the main problem with this is the low ME/PE values of invented copies which, whilst not as important on smaller run itmes, makes a very large difference to the manufacturing costs of larger items/ships.
Unfortunately I do not have a strategy for tackling this, yet, but am ready to give my support for an idea which could improve invention.

Pilot security level could certainly be used to increase the responsiveness of agencies such as CONCORD.
IRL then people known to the Police (in a negative way) are more likely to be given more attention than those who are not. Surely it would be reasonable to reflect this in EVE by making those with lower security ratings watched more. Also, IRL then more prestigious areas are given more attention by the Police and dictate a higher response. This also could be reflected by making responses faster & harder and punishments more severe for aggression in higher security space or on more esteemed victims.
I would certainly be interested in investigating further into the uses of security status in this manner and welcome the ideas and comments of others.

My corporation is a trading and manufacturing corporation. As such I am constantly involved in construction. Earlier in my EVE career I was a prolific miner and ran two accounts, one to mine in a Hulk and the other to haul all of my ore.
Current market fluctuations have certanly caused problems with industrial characters. The systematic campaign against miners has certainly been part of this problem as it has pushed the prices of minerals up which in turn affects the cost of production and the prices of modules and ships. This affects everyone, not just the industrialists.
The current range of industrial ships is already excellent and gives a wide choice of different options to budding industrialists. The only things which I feel are missing, and would benefit the industrial community, would possibly be a dedicated salvage ship, and a mid range hauling ship somewhere between the current transport ships and freighters.

I have the utmost respect for dancers of all types and find them to generally be charming and friendlu individuals.
I must confess that my favourite exotic dancer is The Damsel and it is always enjoyable to assist in rescuing her when she bites off more than she can chew --------------

As a fellow industrialist, I would like to propose that the ME and PE of the donor BPC be considered in the invention process. Maybe giving 100/th of the input to the output BPC. Meaning that a ME400 BPC invented from would effectively produce a T2 ME 0 BPC (-4 + (400/100)) for example
Also, I would like to add, I have known Dymetrie for a long time, and of all the players I have met and CEO I have worked for, I have found him the most level headed, honest, and widely skilled person around.
Industry: Requires materials. Currently it is more profitable to mine Veldspar than Omber, or any other ore (in Caldari space) how do you propose to address this, and the increase in macro miners whom stand to gain from this the most, thus increasing the problem of RMT? (Real Money Trading)
Surely seeding shuttles at a higher price or reducing their build requirements would have been a much better approach to the Tritanium cap problem? How do you feel on this issue, and what would your advice be to the new Chief Economist of CCP?
p.s. We have all had some WILD nights with Exotic Dancers - all respectable and above board, of course :)

As a resident of London I have not seen a great reduction in traffic congestion of the city. Whilst the roads in the very centre (the congestion charge zone) are marginally clearer during the day they still become completely blocked in rush hour (a time which still falls within the timing of the charge) and the roads surrounding the charging zone are as congested as ever.
Whilst the revenue from the congestion charge in London is (allegedly) being used for improvements to the public transport system I cannot see how EVE and Jita could utilise the capital gained from introducing a congestion charge as anything other than an ISK-sink. Jita, along with other major trade hubs, would remain as congested and the ISK raised would go nowhere except to be added onto the costs of goods bought, sold and manufactured from Jita stocks.
I would instead suggest that more resources were focussed on Jita and the other major trade hubs to try and ensure that there is enough runtime available to improve the playing experience when visiting these systems. |

I wonder if you see the need for an ORE Command Ship as I'm craving for it. After a lot of things being added, I feel somewhat feed only a few crumbs from the massive pie. Now argumenting with the Rorqual is wrong, it is a capital industrial platform for areas of uninhabitated space (it claims that itself). After getting into Leadership skills and Mining Director, I feel it really misses a ship that gives that little specialized bonus to the related ganglink modules. (Someone will kill me for this).
I'm not saying, there was nothing added, but it's crumbs. Named and Tech II mining laser upgrades are the larger crumb definately. Faction mining equipment from ORE is expensive and inferior, compared to its Tech II variants. Mining drones may push a perfectionist's mining volume over the cutting edge, but the CPU penalty on mining drone rigs weights heavy on the ships, along with the much CPU intensive mining equipment. Invention made Exhumers affordable, a reasonable price.
Do you have anything else in mind, specifically for a draft-proposal?
