*Countless Titles (Any game that was out on ps1, n64, ps2, are all on pc.
*Countless amount of Extensions of all shape and sizes. You can even get an xbox style pad if you wish, you are not stuck with anything in particular (Customizable keyboards)
*Alt tab to do something else at anytime.
*Being able to use Team speak while playing, instead of in game voice.
*Better Graphics, yes really. & More customizable.
*Consoles don't really come with keyboards for communication, you have to buy them separate.
*Internet price is different and you re not stuck with a high monthly bill.
*You can run 2 or more games at the same time.
*You can play eve-online
*No one will Turn off the tv while you are playing just to watch the news.
*Cheaper.

I'm not a fanboy. I just fail to understand going out and spending that much money on something thats not even half as powerful as my PC. Lets not forget that most console games these days are also on the PC, and if they arn't now they will be in a month or two. As far as exclusives they never really interest me.
Because it is much easier to pick up by someone who isn't computer savvy and have an almost* (about 98%) complete guarantee that the game will work on that console.
*The random game developer who wasn't arsed to test their FPS (Frames Per Second) before selling it to their costumers.

As much as I hate defending the consoles...
*Find me where I can play SSB, L:OOT, and Starfox 64 on my PC.
*Consoles don't really come with keyboards for communication, they come with a my-crow-phone so u can speech 2 ppl.

*If someone tries to change channels while you're playing, tell them to stuff it or wait their turn.

They are called emulators. Project 64 (Google it) is a very reliable and stable emulator for N64 games. Not exactly legal but theres no way to track those kinds of programs. For games on cartridges they are called ROMs. For games that came on a CD format they are called ISOs.
Every console made today has USB ports which can be used to plug a mouse and keyboard into, but no one ever codes a use for them. Its not so much about communication as it is about control. Nothing beats the good old keyboard and mouse as a control scheme unless its a fighter, but most of the games on consoles these days are FPS. Console controllers are the worst kind of controller to use for FPS.
You're correct about this one.
If someone told me to "wait your turn" on my TV I'd kick them out of my house.

Frankly, i wanna buy a ps3 just to play gta4, but i know i won't i always waited the 6-8 months to play it, so what.
Consoles have their advantages, which are.

i have a pc, obviously very good spec, i also have a ps3, good choice i think, i play the ps3 while camping gates and the likes or in fleet action where we are waiting, consoles are good for wasting time!

If someone offered to just give me one for free, I'd go PS3 over Xbox just for the Blu-Ray player.
If I actually had to pay for it, I wouldn't bother with either. Maybe the Wii, but it seems a bit gimmicky for me. I'd just save the money towards my next gaming PC (which is long overdue, tbh).

My 360 cost me about ú300, which is 1/3rd the price of my PC, i can play games on it, when my mates come over i can play multiplayer with no more hassle(and believe it or not someone who suggests a lan party in normal society is liable to get some funny looks at minimum)
It lets me stream all my videos and music into my sound system and 42" tv, and my media center remote is compatible for easy use in parties and such!
If someone chooses a console over a computer then they have issues, unless of course they cant a afford a computer, otherwise i don't understand the bashing. Is it because you are all angry about games manufacturers preffering consoles because it gets them more money or what?
The HMV in town doesn't even sell PC games anymore! Consoles for 90% of the population are just much easier to use than a computer, and you never have to worry about system requirements or installation, so people prefer playing games on them, its just a fact of life unfortunately.
Nonetheless PC> Consoles most of the time.

Not playing Gta IV now and not for at least a year,what with rockstar making the new episodes for the 360 and the fact alot of the game companies are turning away from the pc format.

That is, ofcorse a very valid reason. Personally I play on all platforms, and I wont say that x is better than y. Some games are better of pc, some are better on console. I play medival total war 2 etc on my pc, and I play Metal gear, Splinter cell, GTA, Mass effect type of games on my consoles.

gamepads are only really good for racing and buttonmashing fighting games that got oh-so popular from the original PS. I can't believe that people try and play FPS+RTS games on them... 
the cheapness and lack of any config whatsoever is nice too, not everyone has the money, time or knowledge to properly acquire+use a gaming PC.
...that said, I don't own any consoles
