engaging farmer ravens will result in this
One held down 6 more warp in
Hmm better yet be in a heavy interdictor and cyno in some firepower |

I really hope you're joking. That's the type of mentality that's currently wrong with EVE. "bring a cyno and hot drop on them".
Yeah, theres a chance that if you engage them, they'll bring friends, but isn't that what you want - a fight?
Imo, if you're looking at strictly a (2)man gang, and you're going after raven farmers, then there are quite a few ways you could go;
Fun for me would be a heavy dictor and a hac.
You could also use a couple command ships.
Also, a couple BS of your own. You could remote rep them and have a small remote rep tank. Could be a good fight if he brings some friends.
There are lots of different options you could use. Personally, I like fast agile gangs of hacs (doesn't have to be nano either). Hacs can take down BS rather quickly and either continue engaging (if he brings friends), or get out quick afterwards.
I would seriously _not_ bring a cyno and hot drop people. That's pretty lame imo. To each their own though.
heres why you bring the cyno
Farmers rat in groups (where I have seen them ****in huge groups with scouts everywhere) so you jump in 5 guys you wont get a fight 1 guy with a cyno will get the fight.

Each to their own indeed. The point when fighting ISK farmers is to kill them, no matter what. If hot dropping a carrier on the grid is what's needed - HOT DROP A CARRIER ON THE GRID.
Dead ISK farmer CNRs make the game better for all of us. No tactic is too 'lame'.
There are no raven navy issues in 0.0

Originally by: Agent Li I think this is what is making Eve unfun on occasion.
I don't have access to a carrier (nor can I fly one).
I can probably barely fly a command ship in about two months.
Right now, someone good shows up in a command ship in low sec, and all we can do is sit and watch him pop us (even if we attack him in a group).
Hearing that the solution to all problems is a carrier or a gang of command ships is laughable and disheartening all at the same time.
Unless you can get some mad hax going and nerf local you aren't getting a gang on any farmer op so capship****ging is the way to go

Hardly.
There are places, like the also-mentioned Mamet, where a corp that purports to be anti-pirate hangs out.
The farmers obviously have no problem with them being around in local, so all you have to do is let the farmers get used to your presence (maybe mine some veld for a week to get them used to seeing you around).
Of course, this may not work if you're a famous pirate, but that's what alts are for.
Social engineering, mate.
Now, given that I can get a group onto some farmers, what should I be flying? And don't say carrier or command ship.
are there ravens en masse in mamet? I thought mamet was all haulers
