What you do is more like a zerg rush. you have the insurmountable odds and with little or no inDUHvidual skill you outnumber your foe and swamp him.
^^ this is something to be proud of?
You're wrong, ask Etheral Dawn and IRC, we leeroy into them when they outnumber us significantly even knowing we will lose, it's not good for the k/d ratio, but believe it or not it's fun, and that's more important to some people.
We have people lose their dreads in a fleet fight, and still go back to get their carriers to continue a losing battle.
We lose, and we dust ourselves off and we do it again, and again and again and again. Until the other person gives up, regardless of how good their k/d ratio is, eventually it doesn't matter. And as a bonus we often win too. But most importantly we have great fun.
Have you considered improving your skills as pilots and your pvp abilities as a team so you can actually regularly beat the guys you "leeroy" into.
It seems to me that you are like a lot of ppl who are afraid of failing and so like them you make massive and loud claims of not being interested in KD ratios or other measurements of pvp skill every time the subject is brought up, all because you are unwilling to risk the embarrassment of ppl knowing you actually suck at pvp(guess what.. its to late we know ).
Nobody enjoys losing battles or ships and you cannot convince me or any other person with a brain that you enjoy it cos its a lie, its just another "i did not want that (insert) anyway" comment and saying it makes you look utterly pathetic.
No offence but you dont know r0adkill history. The very name itself was chosen for a very specific reason. o.0 as an alliance was formed by IE-EX and 2 other corps from former Stain Alliance. But the focus of the alliance, at least the pvp part of it, has mostly been molded by IE-EX. Interstellar Exodus has always been about fun over "I-win". The attitude was formed when Scoot started taking control of the corp back in the day when we started roaming g/IRON/RZR space in late 2005. The objective was not to sit cloaked until a lone target appeared but to attack anything (except really stupid odds like 5 vs 40 although we have done that too). Back in those days we even used mostly t1 cruisers, partly because the difference between hacs and t1 was lesser back then and partly because caracals was a good jamming ship and rax could drop 8 ogre II. This type of Leroy fun has always been the main agenda of IE-EX, face it what is more fun gaming experience; sitting cloaked for 3 hours then logging or attacking and hoping to get out with more isk killed then lost?
The reason we have a worse k/d ratio now is manyfold. Partly it is the current drift towards Cap-Online. Leroy 10 t1 cruisers into 10 HAC/bs back in '05 is alot diffrent then Leroy 10 t2 frigs and cruisers into 10 carriers and a mom. Partly its because in a large alliance like o.0 you will always have noobs, carebears and downright idiots who doesent read intel channels and simply jump into often/always camped systems without checking with someone first, or who doesent check local and continue ratting. It has actually come to the point where we "old timers" dont even care about BWF anymore. We simply let the noobies die a few times hoping they will learn.
Of course you are completely correct, no one likes to loose a battle. At least not the large ones, the ones that matter. But as far as the small roaming gangs are concerned our prime objective is to have a fun gaming experience over always winning and as such we might just Leroy knowing full well we might get pwned. We laugh and whine in equal measures over TS for maybe 10 minutes then we get back in the saddle.
