With any level of experience, the concept of "you can not run away" should be clear and an indication that something needs to be done about it benefits everyone. If this was an issue only new players faced then I would be less concerned about it, but this can be a problem for anyone. In PvE and PvP, especially in undesired combat, this should be a convenient thing to be aware of.
Just as convenient it is to check your health, capacitor, speed and modules. The concept of warp disruption is so embedded in this game that a PvPer without the ability to use it raises eyebrows. Bubbles cause frustration, and all they do is prevent a function that is only occasionally needed.
That is where it's particularly valuable to have a clear indicator if we're being warp disrupted; there's nothing telling you if you're being stopped from warping by a bubble but for the graphic and the failed attempt. If you're in starmap, you won't know if you're inside it. If you're in a rush to get to the edge of the bubble it kind of presumes you have a reason to want to know when you've escaped. The wobbly, gelatenous appearance of the disruption sphere kind of makes it hard to determine, even when it is in plain view.
This is just so starkly obvious to me, I'm shocked it isn't already implemented. Warp drive failure indicator: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=887805#post887805 |

This seems like a very good idea to me.
More notifications are always helpful. |

Excellent idea-- the current notifications are certainly better than the days when there weren't any at all, but as always the UI leaves something to be desired. |

Now why would you see a silly thing like that? Warp drive failure indicator: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=887805#post887805 |

This is definitely one of the better suggestion/idea threads in a long time. I agree that the EWAR icons are too small. Unfortunately they are necessarily so. Its very bothersome if your targets are jumping around. (New freeze feature helps.)
Having some obvious visual and/or audio cues would go a long way towards the new player experience.
Current military technology does this. Why not in New Eden? "How do you kill that which has no life?" |

I haven't been through the New Player Experience since Incarna, but when I did I felt it very lacking in impressing me with the idea that "When you are warp scrambled, you are in serious danger and need to panic and flail and prepare to get your pod out and don't you dare blink because you will die in that millisecond you have between being in a pod and being in a station." I definitely agree with how tiny the ewar notifications are, and they really should change this. Giving an audio alert to warp disruption also seems like a great idea as well, something you can't miss to help you realize that things may be going to hell very quickly, paired with a visual cue of unmistakeable nature. I do like the little circle thing having a red outline, or the color of the velocity bar going red itself. Either that or this sudden red flashing at the edges of the screen, that'd likely be quite hard to miss, and I've never played a game where that doesn't mean "Do something, this is a horrible situation" before.
If they do something like this there should be a 'calmer' noise for having a warp disruptor or web on you, a slightly more urgent one for neuts/NOS and the klaxon equivalent of "OH **** OH **** WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE" for warp scrambler. I support this idea. |

I'm pretty new to this necromancer thing so I have to bump threads while they're still freshly dead. Warp drive failure indicator: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=887805#post887805 |

how about instead of audio cues, why not place the icons above the middle console thingy that also has your hp/cap/heat/speed. Since you look down there often enough anyway, it would be nice to see the warp scrambler icon appear just above all that to show that one is being warpscrambled. Where the science gets done |
