You are welcome to die on my hull.
Anyway, more and more details about Hardin's unethical behavior are coming out every day. Does anyone really know this guy?
For swing voters who may consider Hardin, you may want to think about what new information/surprises may be revealed about your candidate. The CSM should not have naive or unethical persons representing us.
Hardin: Wrong for CSM, the wrong choice for you.

The way I see it, there's only two types of candidates:
There's those that will be an active CSM and those that won't. Pick one that talks (and you like) and we're all good to go.
Their personal opinions, hobbies, underwear - it makes no difference. As long as they show up at a total of 2 CSM meetings at CCP, they've done their job. The rest is details and extremely unlikely to make any difference at all as to what changes happen in Eve for us. |

You cannot get any closer in internet spaceships than Haesin And Tyrrax -- no picts required.
Wasn't the stolen mothership transferred in Misaba (CVA space) at Tyrrax's request?

The really interesting thing coming through this thread is that you have a lot more information concerning Tyrrax, various thefts, and GHSC than anybody in the CVA to be honest. Throw in a few vague accusations with absolutely no proof at all, and you could make the exact same smear campaign against any candidate of your choosing. 'Tis interesting why you chose Hardin. Which of his views on the game bother you so much?
Or was it something CVA did in-game? In which case "calm down" applies beautifully...

Edited by: Ariko Gunaris on 12/05/2008 22:13:41 CVA are rubbish, but that's a topic for another forum. The point of this topic is to inform everyone on Hardin's unethicalness/naivety.
These huge character flaws are only side of why one should not vote for Hardin. Hardin is also terribly wrong on several issues, information on which can be easily found in other topics. He's wrong on local, wrong on suicide ganking, and generally WRONG on almost every aspect of his understanding Eve. Clueless would be a good word to describe Hardin.

Character flaws?
You know what? I'm gonna step into your imaginary world for a minute, where Hardin is in any way associated with GHSC. For hypotheticals, I'm perfectly willing to accept anything is possible. I've been accused of being a Jade Constantine alt, after all.
So what?
Serious question.
What is unethical behavior? Is working within the prime fiction of Eve, and within the cut-throat environment CCP themselves have created unethical? Do you consider piracy unethical? How about anarcho-revolutionaries? What in-game behavior constitutes "unethical?" Why is it even an issue for CSM if a candidate has GHSC ties?
If I had more than one vote to give, I'd be throwing one Jade's way because whether I agree with his views on the game or not, I think he has an important perspective on the way. I don't take into account in-game actions. The fact that he plays what could be considered (oh god I'm begging for a de-rail) an anarchist, and a violent one at that, has nothing at all to do with how he might perform on the CSM.
Neither does being a member of an organization that has caused some of the best in-character drama in the game.
Okay. Stepping out of that fiction now.
I'd be interested in some full disclosure. Hardin now stakes the reputation of his main in-character avatar on an out-of-game function. He also, by proxy, stakes the reputation of the CVA. I do wonder if you might have similar fortitude and post with your main, as well as your main's grievances against CVA? That might be the most base foundation to at least lend some credence to your slander.

Garreck,
Don't even bother arguing with this eejit.
He has so far not produced a single shred of evidence and where he has stated 'facts' the people involved have come forward and pointed out that he is wrong.
He is plainly a bitter person. IF we knew his main we would find out what he was bitter about ----- Alliance Creation/Corp Expansion Services

I didn't transfer either one of Wyverns in Misaba and indeed neither one was ever there. (two jumps away yes)
As for CVA being rubbish, i don't think anyone with half a clue would agree with you there. They've been going strong for years now and as far as I can tell they're quite respected by enemies, friends and random strangers alike.
I haven't researched Hardin's opinions on various issues, but he is well known to be completely trustworthy and honorable as a middleman and businessman, so dunno about terrible character flaws..

When I voted for Hardin (as soon as the vote was up), I did so because of his view of the CSM. The way I see it, if its just a big PR stunt by CCP, then Hardin will be up front about it (I don't see someone as established and generally respected as him doing this for attention, and playing along with some PR gimmick... unlike quite a few other candidates), and if it is indeed something that will work as proposed, then Hardin seems to be the candidate most likely to care mainly about the overall game, and not some pet issues.
Frankly, that's all that matters to me, and nothing a coward hiding behind an alt says will change my views on the man. ----- In EVE - never bring a knife to a knife-fight. |

It really isn't me... I don't play this game using alts and I don't play the forums like that either.
The guy posting this nonsense has also crossposted it with attacks on CVA in Intergalactic Summit - so it seems as if he has a bit of an axe to wield.
Anyway thanks for the character references chaps. If people want to believe I am a dishonest member of the GHSC that is up to them!

Silly. Isn't Jade the one in cahoots with Revan neferis? IAC and CVA have been allies for a long time and I doubt it has anything to do with Hardin being buddies with Tyraxx and, more likely that IAC is the only nearby blues in the surrounding region as just about the whole servers 0.0 entities are hostile to providence. It does sound like Jade though....
But your points are valid. In the 1.5 years now that I have dealt with CVA they have been honorfull, upright and true to their ideals around every turn. On many a occasion they could have handled differently, I would hardly believe that anyone in CVA would allow such a prominent member of their alliance to conduct himself in any other way.
Voting Hardin.
