I'll have to keep my eye on this. It might be rubbish, it might not - at least give it a chance before you condemn it.

Well, the film makers do have a fairly solid base to work with. Bioshock may be a game, but while playing it, I always thought how great this would be made into a movie.
However, the most powerful part of the game for me was
SPOILER!!

when you got to Ryan's office and suddenly you lost all control over what your character was doing. Damned startling. I know the game is linear, so any feeling of freedom you have is merely an illusion - but having it taken away like that was the most startled I've been playing a game for a long time.

I very much doubt they can convey that over a film, where the viewer has no control over the protagonist anyway.
Also, I very much hope they remove some of the more annoying parts of the game. I'm thinking of the endless search for that last bottle of enzyme...
