What's the reason to nerf CU? Playerbase request enhance CU(make skills work on CU).. and yes, you make skill work on CU then nerf it badly? What's purpose about it?

Cu Vapor was not nerfed but slightly boosted. If you don't believe me you're not understanding how it worked (YES IT WORKED) before the patch.

yes, it is nerfed. before patch it's 48/48 no matter what your skill is. now it's 49/60 unequiped.

No, this is WRONG Before patch it was 48 ore a MINUTE, now it's 49. And YES, the mining bonus was already applied before the patch.
If you don't believe me you're just too dumb to figure out, sorry but i'm fed up with ppl telling it was broken, just because they don't understand how the thing works.

before the patch , it's 48/48, it's a simply truth unless you tell me in ccp's opinion 48sec=1min.
btw, if you want to make personal attack..I'll take it and fight back 10x worse.

Damn why do you refuse to get it ? Before the patch it was 48 ore per minute, effectively 38,4 ore per cycle (48 sec). This is completely correct i tested it several times. Mining and astrogeology bonus was applied properly, i had 50,784 ore mount per cycle with mining at 3 and astrogeology at 3. I also pulled 3 bistot a cycle which had not been possible if the boni didn't apply. If you do the math, you'll it's completely correct.
Before the patch it was 48 ore a minute, now it's 49 a minute, so where is the nerf ? Range was also boosted slightly by 400m.

Just a proof - Before the patch i mined 3 bistot a cycle, effectively 3,75 bistot a minute. Now i mine 4 bistot a minute, so tell me since when is that a nerf ?

Cu Vapor Particle Bore Stream I (Mining Laser) Activation Time: 60 sec (48 sec) Ore Amount: 49 (48) - This is ALWAYS based on minutes, not cycles. Range: 12400 (12000) Activation Cost: 10 energy CPU Usage: 57 tf Powergrid Usage: 2 MW The values in brackets are the ones before the patch.

Where can you find those drops exactly? The best I found so far from 0.0 belt pirates is Xe-Q Drilling beam...

lurk, Bistot is not an effective way to determine ore volume. I mined scordite last night with lvl 4 mining and I was able to pull in 306 scordite in 48 seconds.
if u do the math,
306 * .15 = 45.9
and that is with mining lvl 4. So whatever you got is not an indication as bistot takes 16 ore units and mine takes .15, so it is alot easier to see how much they really pull in.
This change your mind at all? HWT-Member |

Yeah, 38,4 * 1,2 = 46,08 ~ 46 so your result is perfectly correct.
Just keep in mind that ore amount is always in minutes regardless of the cycle lenght, so you mined 38,4 ore a cycle.

Actally no I didn't.. t turned on one laser and sat there for about 50 seconds I estimated. and When it returned a cycle of ore, it popped out 306 units. So I don't know what's going on if you are 100% positive.

Ok, just the following. Your problem is that you assume that ore amount means the amount of ore per cycle (48 seconds in this case). Actually it's meant in minutes (it took me some time to figure out too). So if you want to know how much ore you pull per cycle you have to do the math:
48/60*48 = 38,4 per CYCLE.
If you have mining4 then it's +20% or *1,2. Read my post above your result is perfectly correct.

Lurk you are totally wrong. It was 48 unints every 48 seconds. I had 3 of them in my moa and 1 regular miner and they ALWAYS got out of sync with the miner I and always returned ore BEFORE the Miner I.
It did NOT take into effect mining skill. They returned less ore each cycle than a miner I with Mining 5.
This is yet another pointless nerf that screws a lot of people that bought these for a lot of isk based on what they did.
How can we have an effective market for things when their stats keep changing? Imagine walking into a car dealership and buying a car that has a V8 and x features. Then you pick it up and it then has a V6 and not all the features you were told. This is just getting stupid already.

OMG man read what i posted. The cycle is 48 seconds so it returns the ore every 48 seconds (you witnessed that). The thing is that ore amount refers to the ore per minute so the CU's only return 38,4 ore instead of the 49 ore that many assume per cycle. damn i hate people who moan all day just because they don't understand the game mechanics ...

tell me what makes you think it's 48 ore per minute not per day? give me an offical announcement about that if you can? Right now I can't tell the detail before the patch because I never write it down. but I remeber I DID test before, same as many others. NEVER try to pretend you are smarter than rest of the world because you are NOT.

I didn't read it somewhere i tested it several times and eventually figured out. And the fact that all further tests did confirm my theory i'm of the opinion that it is correct. People say the mining bonus is not applied but how can that be if i get more ore than before when i train up a level ?

Actually i was the same opinion you were when i first tested a vapor out. But instead of assuming the game was wrong, like you did and still do i assumed i may be wrong and did further research to eventually find out that i was wrong and the miner was actually working properly.
Sorry but i don't consider people smart who encounter something they don't understand and assume it has to be an error in the game whereas they are wrong themselves.
As a result there a numerous posts in the forum about ppl complaining where actually no bug exists.

OK if you don't believe nobody forces you to. I know i'm right but pls don't waste the dev's time by complaining about nerfs that aren't nerfs.
I'm happy with the "nerf" cause i mine more than before now ...

We tested the Cu vs Miner 1 last night prior to patch. We got the results that Lurk has been describing.
If you filter out Lurk's invective, his 13/06/2003 19:56:00 post is very useful and informative. It's the educational, info-sharing post (the rest are not as info-dense :) And it explains the test results quite nicely.
We'll probably test again post-patch, but I expect the results to match what Lurk said there too.
[ If you want your eyes to bleed, though, read DE's 13/06/2003 20:11:00 post. o_0 I can understand some frustration with that one, if my filters didn't work so well :]

Well I took 2 miners in Imi's (exact same mining skill). One fitted Miner-I's and one Cu-Vapors. They mined the same Veldspar roid and the miner with the two Cu's mined right at a 25% faster rate than the one with the Miner-I's, just as it should be.
And if you're wondering these are the same results I obtained pre-patch as well.

Lurk is completely correct here.
And as previously stated, that one 'info-dense' (nice word) post, is exceptionally educational.
