Claussen	Posted - 2008.05.12 17:20:00 - [1] I've played Eve for 5 years now (since beta) and after much thought, have decided to hang it up. Just wanted to say that Eve is still the best sci-fi game out there and though I feel like I really have nothing to show for the last five years, I have enjoyed the time wasted. Tonight, I dive into the bio shredder and my on-again, off-again 40M SP (yeah yeah, not 5 years worth) existence comes to a close. I'm selfish, so all of my ships, ISK (which is not much), and items will follow. Farewell.

I don't really see that in the OP unless its a really well hidden, but crappy, attempt to incite sympathy and hate for the game. There are unfortunately some losers who leave a game because it didn't work out for them and they feel they must vandalism it as best as they can before they leave it. I don't see that in the OP though - so, I'm dumbfounded at the reason behind the post. I don't think he's a well known member of EVE, so why the thread? My best guess is if people say bye, that gives the leaver some sense of being missed and makes leaving easier or something. Dunno. There has to be a reason or motive behind why the OP is telling us he's leaving EVE, and his reasons behind that. I'm usually good at reading people and their motives - but I'm a bit dumbfounded in this case. OP please tell me if im wrong, but i think hes a loner like me. hes hidden his corp name and alliance just like i have, Maybe he just needs to talk? perhaps there are a few people out there that knew him and worked with him, maybe they could have dropped a reply saying good bye and good luck?
