We have drinking contests. Does that count?
How do the devs manage to code?

Drinking contest are best kept for weekends, sometimes weeknights. We tend to work during the day (Amazing, I know!).

They don't, they have code hamsters for that. In reality it's the DEVS who do the running in the hamster wheels trying to keep the servers running while the hamsters do the coding. That also explains why it goes wrong at times since DEVS have lousy stamina, the bree doesn't help either.
Tbh I'm not quite sure if it should be the other way round, the hamsters would keep the server running just fine, but the DEVS actually coding? We'd have bree guns and cap boosters running on pizza.

and you're all about to get hit with an avalanche of information on the next expansion. Some of you might of already noticed, this saturday barring no holdups, you will all be able to see Empyrean Age on sisi.
Is it just me or did that link mysteriously die all of a sudden?
Can somebody confirm/denie/comment this statement made by Chronotis?

I talked with the QA leads who are arranging the tests. They should be still going ahead and hopefully the news or some announcement should be back soon.

All the good things in eve's early days hinged on having a few beers first to think about what was to be done.
From what little I remember from fanfest 2007, the background in eve (all the pretty nebulae etc) were written during a 3day drink fest. As a result the coding actually works all too well, and any programmer of note will tell you that all the best coding is done under the influence of booze.
I also recall they made one small mistake on the backgrounds, they were too inebriated to take notes on how they managed to et it to work.

Does the amount of bree consumed and nights out grow exponentially as a deadline appears? It sounds like fun, I never seem to be able to do that :(

Oveur is live and kicking, working as producer for all CCP's projects now (incl. World of Darkness). Hammerhead has been taking up some of the slack working hard with 3 different hats lately (ouch!), though fortunately the situation is changing soon. Zulupark is helping out as assistant producer for EVE to make the flow between departments go more smoothly. Tuxford moved from game design to programming a long time ago, though he's currently away on maternity leave (we miss him ). TomB has been working as game designer on World of Darkness ever since Revelations 2.0 last year and sadly does not work on EVE any longer.
Hi!
Sorry to hear that TomB stop working with EVE in a year back
Does this mean it will influence the Walking in station when TomB stop working with EVE ?
Because i'am kinda worried and appreciate an answer

Alright, so 2 CCP peeps are acutally introducing their gene material into the Icelandic population, and for the rest I have to say:
World of Darkness better be a kick-ass game. I am addicted to vampire myths and stories since I disturbingly read the Bram Stoker at age of 8 (I still don't know why they let me).
Does it make me a weird one? Definitly. BTW where to go for WOD? Is there no website yet? I always though Eve was successfull cuz they had a community early on.

CCP almost always goes dark, communication wise, close to the release of an expansion. This one is no small one either, so I imagine they're sleeping in the office. :)
So, they are letting them sleep now? At least that's an improvement, I used to hear about how they would not let them sleep at all!!!

So EVE is CCP's cash-cow and they moved all the good people to their new projects.
Thats OK, at least they finally admitted to what people have been saying for months now.
Gotta learn somewhere eh Zulu,,,

Nope, we're just looking into how we can revert the trend of blog = set in stone. Often we want to blog about an idea or something that we have to try and get feedback and a few times when we've tried to do that people take it as something that's been decided.
Just throw out or reply to threads on features and ideas and game development forums?
