Do the new players who get on the forums even know about the Recruitment forums? How do new players find corps besides just joining the first guy outside the starter station flying in his big shinny ship? However, it is still against the rules to cross post. If you want to find new players, go to the rookie systems and solicit them from in game.

What you can do is spam your forum link in the recruitment channel in game and they will notice (new players like to click yellow coloured link text). Also when recruiting new players, be sure you can offer them something that makes them want to join your corp. (I'm in no way trying to snatch new players from you as we don't recruit new players). It's just there are thousands of new player friendly corps around EVE, so you have to compete with them. Some are really settled and are hard to compete with, so good offers why a new player should join your corp will help you recruit them. p.s. Cross posting recruitment ads in the new citizen part of forum is not allowed and posts can be deleted for doing it. Inject your skillbook before you leave the station. Neo didnGÇÖt learn Kung-Fu by having it sit in his usb drive.-á If it moves, shoot it. If it doesn't move, poke it with your gun and then shoot it. Most might not even know there is a forum (!). And if you quickly check the Recruitment Forum you'll notice that not only it advertises mostly not-newbie corps and that most titles won't lure the new player. (When I say new player, I mean someone with around one week in-game) For instance, your topic already states that you are an Industrial Corp. And that you are recruiting Miners, Haulers, etc. What if the new player don't even know what they want to be in-game? What if they don't think they are still up to being called a full-fledged Miner? Even if you say that new players are encouraged to apply, the rest of the topic discourages, imo.

Why anyone would join a game as complex as EVE without first doing some research is beyond my imagination. I spent weeks poking around the web site, Evelopedia, forums and various off-site resources before opening my first account.

True, the vast majority of newbies dont check the forums, but I like to think that those who do are the "self starters" and the types of people you would most likely be interested in recruiting in the first place.

To the people, new or old, that can't bother to read the forums, especially with a game as complex as EVE, those are the ones that I'm not looking for. If they don't get on the forums, chances are they probably won't be in the Recruitment Channel either. As that channel is more for the seasoned veterans, IMO. Roland Renoir: I never thought about the corp description as being non newbie friendly. I do understand your point though. Let me make myself clearer, as I failed to do that in my first post. I'm looking for those that have done the tutorials and are wanting to get into the industrial side of EVE. I'm not looking to spam and harass new players as they undock for the first time. I'll have to change and add to the description though. Make it a little "new player' friendly. Once again, thanks for the responses. Fly Safe everyone o7

If this is no longer the case,or if my memory is totally off im sure CCP is atleast planning to add in a last bit talking about the recruitment channel,the recruitment section of the forums and the ingame recruitment tool. And for the OP. Dont remove your post. Just add it in with your adverstiment. If nothing else it will help people realize that there is a forum section ment purely for recruiting.

Better idea for that huge pile of ISK is to actually use it for the corp (give people some ships to fight each other with). Inject your skillbook before you leave the station. I used the wiki guides and chat, in the end I found a corps on the chat as well, nice to know people are online when you are. for larger corps that might not be a problem but for smaller it's nice to know you have a scedual that matches your own.
