Metallica: "Master of Puppets"
Slayer: "Angel of Death"
Megadeth: "Wake Up Dead"
Yeah, I was a total metalhead in my teens - for a couple of years I wouldn't even care to listen to anything that wasn't metal - and those three songs in particular still play in my head often.

Well, 15 years ago, my parents more or less said the same thing about the stuff I liked back then... so I'm reticient to "judge" it as such... even if, I must admit, I'm highly tempted to

Edited by: Akita T on 13/05/2008 23:47:05 Well, to be completely honest, nowadays I'm mostly listening to 60's and 70's stuff anyway, some 80's in a pinch Things like Don McLean, Creedence Clearwater Revival, etc. It's just that the 90's stuff is hard to "get rid of"

Age of Love - Age of Love
I still love this track, despite the fact that I've turned into a metalhead over the years. The 12" single is hanging on a wall in my room <3

Retro?
Geez...kids these days.
This is retro:
Starland Vocal Band - Afternoon Delight
Electric Light Orchestra - All Over the World
Yazoo - Don't Go
Violent Femmes - Gone Daddy Gone
Blondie - Call Me
Pixies - Debaser
The Stone Roses - Elephant Stone
Modern English - I Melt With You
Siouxsie and the Banshees - Kiss Them for Me
Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Two Tribes
Plenty more but anything much older goes back to disco then classic rock. Anything newer is hardly retro.

Classic... I was pretty obsessed with the Pixies during my last year of highschool and early college years: one day I caught the Money Gone To Heaven video by chance on MTV, went "whoa!", and got hooked on their albums. And I just realized that was almost 20 years ago... where the f*** did the time go.
