I believe that the reason there are so few decent threads in MD is because they get buried under a mountain of isk-begging bond/loan threads.
Build it and they will come. |

Id love more interesting threads but to be honest what is there to actually talk about? No one wants to mention anything to precise about the market or comment on prices / trends because everyone here are traders and dont want to flood their markets but letting the world know about them.
Until there is actual new economic content that creates new and interesting stuff for us to talk about and build upon what can we say that hasnt been said a million times before. At least the bond ppl are providing some extra content that would otherwise be lacking from the game. And every so often you get someone who has really thought hard about coming up with something new and interesting - even tho it will generally get shot down and trodden on as a likley scam or overly flawed somehow.
Having said that, actual discussion threads can be hard to spot through all the bonds n stuff :P |

I was under the impression MD was filled with people wanting to show off how e-rich and e-successful they were. 73,500 AUR ($367.5) spent on NeX store for Troll and Profit. |

Most of the others have been hashed and rehashed.
I'd like to see more discussion about specific markets yet, I don't want to talk about markets I'm in ! lol
The more attention something gets, the more likely the profits will get squeezed for the type of trading I do (or used to do and might return to) |

Moving bond offerings, IPOs and the like to Sell Orders really wouldn't be a bad thing though. They're not discussion threads, at least not most of the time, they're business requests -- much like any other sell order. For bonus points, we could move all Bank threads to Crime & Punishment. |

Are potential investors more likely to be browsing MD or Sell Orders?
I was going to post my next bond offering in MD, but given the hostility to such postings, I'm hesitant to do so. My target audience would be investors, not buyers, so I think I'd get more of the desired attention in MD than Sell Orders.
I can understand the reasoning of moving such offerings out of MD though. |
