I'm looking for a Minmatar lvl 4 running setup. I've never done a lvl 4 mission alone before, and I'm looking to solo. I wanna know what ship, or what battleship you guys recommend, and what setup i should have. Thanks!

8x 1200 artilelry II
XL Booster II, 2x SBA II, 2x Hardener, cap charger II
2x Gyro II, 2x PDS II, Cap Flux II
3x CCCII
Shoudl run the boster for a good long time and does a decent chunk of DPS for an artillery boat. Will have to rely on drones to clear up close range cruisers and most frigates tho because artillery tracking is horrible.

Maelstrom, but I'd go tankier if you haven't seen quite how nasty level 4s can be.
8 Artillery ( I use 1200s ) XL Shield Booster, 4x Hardeners, 100MN AB 5x Cap Flux Coil IIs. 3x CCC rigs
This is seriously overtanked, with enough cap to run the booster almost all the time when the AB is off. However I don't recommend doing that. I suggest replacing some of the CFC IIs with Gyros as you get more used to the missions. You could replace the AB with other stuff, but I find that an AB is really useful.
The most important things are working out which hardeners to use against the different enemies and havig good enough drone skills to take out the frigates.

The typhoon can handle almost any mission solo with a dual repper setup, and it can permarun it too:
4x cruise, 4x Dual 650mm AC AB, web, 2x rechargers 2x LAR, 2x power relay, 3x hardeners 1x aux nano pump, 2x CCC
Tanks more over time than the maelstrom, does almost the same DPS and has better resists for most missions. It also has the benefit of being able to carry both a full set of heavy and medium drones. It is a tight fit on PG, but if you can live with not shooting T2 ammo at the rats (expensive hobby) you can go for best named. Depending on where your skillpoints are you may need one or two faction relays to achieve true perma run, but it's not all that important tbh. Just make sure you have at least T2 on the cap mods.
Good luck!

while i agree with everything after the highs, i still don't understand the need for 425mm's unless you literally have no more grid left. you might as well put on 1200mm artilleries, or if grid is really that bad, 720mm howies would suffice. and why the DLA? cruises should be able to reach 100+km with lower skills, and no one usually orbits more than 50km (and you can be within range for drones with the ab turned on). and finally, if you need 425mm's to supplement your heavy/medium drones in close range, you've got a substantial problem.
i would suggest the following because it *should* be cap stable (add another nosferatu if not). fit t2 with named t1 as required, and if needed, use only 2 of each specific hardener needed for that particular mission.
[Typhoon, mish tanker] Large Armor Repairer II Large Armor Repairer II Armor Thermic Hardener II Armor Kinetic Hardener II Damage Control II Armor Explosive Hardener II Armor Explosive Hardener II
Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II
XT-9000 Cruise Launcher, Paradise Cruise Missile XT-9000 Cruise Launcher, Paradise Cruise Missile XT-9000 Cruise Launcher, Paradise Cruise Missile XT-9000 Cruise Launcher, Paradise Cruise Missile 1200mm Heavy 'Scout' Artillery I, EMP L 1200mm Heavy 'Scout' Artillery I, EMP L 720mm 'Scout' Artillery I, Fusion M Medium Nosferatu I
Capacitor Control Circuit I Capacitor Control Circuit I Capacitor Control Circuit I
Hammerhead II x5 Garde I x5 (if you can use sentry drones)
If you kill it, it will respawn... Eventually. |

The above fit is for PvE not pvp. --- It have always fallen to a few to sacrifice for the good of many

i know its a pve fit, and its terrible. i was implying that they couldnt even fit decent pve ships so they have no hope when it comes to pvp

It depends on what factions you do missions against most, so you can properly take advantage of your native resists and the fact that you have both a shield and an armor tanker available. That way you don't need to overtank your ship.
Since I go mostly against sansha, I use the phoon.
4x cruise, 4x 425? large ac
ab or painter depending on mission rest mids cap rechargers
1 amarr navy repper, 3-4 hardeners, 2-3 bcu
2x ccc, 1x rep amount rig
set of curators and a set of med thermal drones whose name escapes me at the moment
1 repper with the hardeners and 1 rep rig is enough to tank any sansha mission with the native armor em res. t2 curators have enough range to hit any sansha bs on their orbit. thermal med drones since they do more damage than the abysmal em drones even after resists. ac's are half useless, but they help at killing cruisers <20km, and if you leave close range bs' last, you can shave a few seconds off of those too with the acs. I only use ab on missions which have loooong distances to go, otherwise the painter is more useful for increasing sentry tracking and cruise missile damage on cruisers.
The big downsides are the fact that you want t2 sentries (and/or heavies if you insist, but i personally found them lacking for my mission purposes) and t2 cruise missiles, which don't synergise that well with other minmatar ships. Other thing is that drone aggro can be a pain on certain missions, since half your dps is in the drones and you're not fit to afk-tank whole mission at once like a domi probably would be.
