OK so i have 8.01 standing with the cardie navy, and im in a cardie npc corp, but apparently i still can't get a jump clone. Its midly frustrating because i would like to use the jump clone to protect my implants while i learn to pvp. So my question is, is there any way for a mish runner to get a jump clone or did ccp realy put in a intentional*****block with this ratting system. From a rp stand point is kinda scary that the navy does not like the provisional goverment ..... can we say coup .

Are you in a corp? If so, what's that corp's standing to CN. If it's blow 8, you won't get a JC from CN until it is above 8.

Corp or personal standing above 8.0 should do it. You do not need both, and having corp below will not keep you from getting a JC.
Two possibilities emerge:
1. Are you trying to get a JC at a caldari navy station? Or are you just at some random station in caldari space? It needs to be caldari navy.
2. Is your 8.01 before or after connections? You need 8.01 before you take connections into account.
Edit: Post with your main please...that way I could have answered #2 simply by looking at your profile.

are you at a caldari navy station with a clone vat bay?

Hrmm didn;t even know you could look up peoples stuff :-D, This is my main and i dont even have connections, id look up where i am exsactly but i know the station info says its owned by the cardie navy, is it possbile to have a rounding erro, because i think my char cheet says i have 8.00 standing flat. thanks for the help

Get your standing to 8.01 and it should work. 8.00 might be rounding up from 7.99999939999 or somesuch and thus not work.

Also, if you need jump clones, there are a few corps ingame that offer a way to get jump clones.

Anyway .. you need an unmodified standing of 8,0 ( so without your connection skills ) and it should work fine.

ah u don't need unmodified standing over 8 to get jc's. I obtained jc's from kaalakiota corp and my standing without connections is less than 8

This is not BS - somehow I was able to obtain a jump clone from a corporation without having my unmodified or modified standings above 8.0 for the NPC corp in question. I have the highest standing (and only) in my corp for this corp in question. I only learned about the 8.0 standing requirement when I tried to get another one 48 hours later and it didn't work. 
I smell a bug, personally.

If the corp that you are part of have above 8.0 unmodified standing with that npc corp, then you get a jumpclone nomatter what standing you have, most likely this is what happend.
Sometimes the standing gets "stuck" both for agents and other things that requires them, like jumpclone, restarting the client usually helps.

Definitely not so in my case. I'm the *only* one in my corporation who works for the corp in question, and my corp doesn't have 8.0 with anyone besides.
So:
1) My corp doesn't have 8.0 with the NPC corp (or any NPC corp for that matter).
2) I didn't have unmodified 8.0 with the NPC corp.
3) I didn't have modified 8.0 with the NPC corp.
4) It was not a matter of someone joining or leaving the corp, because I'm the only one who has ever shown up in the "Show Composite" list for the NPC corp's standings vs. my corp. (and besides, I'm a director and know for a fact no one join or left in that period of time)
Yet I was able to get a jump clone somehow, only once. The same station wouldn't let me get another one 48 hours later.

too all guys saying "connection" isn't took into account to calculate standing to see if you are allowed or not to buy a J.C.
Just for info : I got 7.XXX (Personnal standings)with Kador Familly
I Got Connection LvL 4
With it i got more than 8.00 (Personnal standings)
I have a Jump Clone in a Kador Familly Station
For info and to prevent any "stupid post" to answer me (like : "perhaps your corp got good standings"), i just tell you that my corp got Less than me, so if i have a J.C. it is just by my personal standings and not because of my corp.
