EveMon says server is up but unable to login.

How come I always choose the wrong time to do shorter skills...
Cant they warn BEFORE downtime ingame, like instead of the normal message there could be something stating that todays downtime will be extended.

2008.05.14 18:46:57 - not exactly a early warning, but still 16 hours before downtime.

I believe there was a message regarding a server side hotfix 15 mins before the dt, extending from 1100-1300hrs.
At least thats how i read it, i could be wrong.
(ingame that is)

I must have missed it, and to be honest, I really dont read the news section all that often.
Why not send out an EVE mail ingame then? Atleast I know thats something I would read.

I always make sure I have a skill that has 5 hours or more to go before downtime, because sometimes when EVE doesn't startup properly things go fubar for a while.
