I looked at the features page and it looks like there are no new ships coming with this expansion.
Can anyone confirm/deny the existence of new ships for The Empyrean Age expansion?

Summaries on the forums indicate each race will get three new faction cruisers and Ammar will get their missing frigate.

And maybe we will get the missing link between sub capitals and capitals as well as the missing capital line of ships.

faction blackbird that's actually a damage dealing tanking god (for a cruiser) and is no good at EW at all.
also, i'm gunna have to save up to add these to my collect :'(

In the live dev blog they said there were new "faction cruisers" -- does that mean a bunch more pointless LP store trophies that nobody would really fly into combat, or was it just a poor word choice by the interviewee? One new T1 cruiser per race would be better than 10 new "trophy" cruisers IMHO.
PS: Really looking forward to seeing what happens to my Anathema and Sentinel when the new T1 frigate is introduced. It'd be cool if they retired the Anathema (so it became a collector's item) and gave us a new covert ops with a new name and model.

Honestly, I see most of the empire faction cruisers having a role right now, even more so with the rumoured(and partially announced) boost coming up. Be it for PvE or PvP. Unless they prenerf these to hard, I bet they can be really cool.
I... really doubt they will change any of the existing t2 ships, even if it's a probing frigate we get, the Anathema will most likely stay. Much like the Absolution, Eos, Nighthawk stayed.

It all comes down to just one thing - price.
I've flown 3 faction cruisers so far (Fleet Stabber, Vigilant, Cynabal) and honestly, they are awesome ships. Or better, they would be, if they were in the price range of a tier 1 battlecruiser (empire faction) or between tier 1 and tier 2 battlecruisers (pirate faction).
At a 100m bucks, you simply can't realistically get a t1 hull do the appropriate bang.

With more faction-oriented activity we should expect supply of LPs increase significantly, as well as supply or tags (said in devblog), so faction equipment and ships should become cheaper and more available.

From collated info, Amarr get their frig (finally ^^) and the faction ships are rebalanced. How i dunno.
But check out the Navy Apoc. Its worse than its t1 counterpart currently.
And i hope the new "faction cruisers" dont infringe on t2 HACs with theyre price range. Cause faction ships just arent that good.
All of above post was formulated wth 100% honesty and 100% sarcasm. Now i only need to get drunk

More faction cruisers is nice, but the existing ones really need a rebalancing. While some few (Phantasm, Vigilant) are pretty good, most of them are crap -- mostly due to their grid/cpu never having been balanced with the current module fitting needs.
Here's hoping that we'll also see some general love for the faction cruisers with the next patch (and some of the faction battleships could also use some love).

Faction ships are already cheap in ISK compared to their LP cost. Or more correctly, they cost in LP even more horrendous sum than in ISK.

yea, why? i have no clue though 
that amarr navy auragor for like 200,000 lp (i think, or was it just 100,000 lp) or a zealot, tough choice

There's no information about them yet. It was just announced in the live Dev-blog yesterday, that there'll be some new faction-cruisers and an additional Amarr-frig.
