Hello people of eve
i wanted to shout the prazes of my friend Daggaroth who is in the same corporation as me.
he set out about a month ago to get to 0 KM from the sun in Umokka and as of a few days ago he succeded
he used a regular tech 1 condor and just flew straight at it.
starting out at the regular 181,000 KM and useing just his impulse engines and a thruster he made is way down to 0 KM
not sure if anyone has done this already but if he is the first i think it could be newsbored worthy =-)

Thats odd, whenever I try to get to the center of a planet/moon I just bounce off.

By flying in straight line even after you hit 0m.
And when you hit the center, you get bumped:

tbh - most people have tried . planets moons and suns . It Is I believe a natural progression in eve . ( yes you find that doing "stuff" is still pointlesss but time consuming) but congrats to the player any how.

So what was the farthest someone ever flew without the usage of warp?

The true center of the star is quite a bit past the "0km" point. Sometimes several hundred thousand km past it. But when you hit it you'll get bounced like you've never been bounced before. Takes a capital ship 5-10 minutes to slow down to a speed you can warp from.
Here's a picture of a star I flew into with an alt..

I took an alt once while I was out of work (Read: Able to log in right after downtime) about 4 months ago, So far hes traveled 28.2 AU in a Crusader going 8k/sec (started slower..) His goal was to get from a station to a stargate by sublight. Im 8 AU away.
Started to fraps it, but I filled my 1TB storage and said to hell with that, would of been cool.. maybe next time. After I do this, I plan to make the first non-fighter created Super safe! bawahah.
Back in the good ole days, I once flew a Thorax 10 AU with multiple MWDs in about an hour, course I was able to get up to .1au/sec with that thing....
I think I need a life...

A few things posted in this thread have been bugging me...
First of all, there shouldn't be anything special about a bookmark inside a moon or planet. You can easily create one of those today. I've done so myself. Fly up to the surface, your ship will stop when you hit it. Drop a bookmark. Go on the other side of the moon and warp to your bookmark at 100. Drop a new bookmark just as you come out of warp (or a little before for larger objects). Repeat. You'll eventually have a bookmark several hundred/thousand km inside the moon. As you probably noticed the first time you warped "into" the moon, it bounces you out very fast as soon as you exit warp.
Second, it would take a crusader flying at 8km/s over 16 years to travel 28.2 AU. I don't know how you did it in 4 months, but it didn't involve flying normally at 8km/s.

Yep, I actually got safe spots on each side of the sun in Rens, about 300km from each other, I believe. Went torward the sun in an Inty with my mwd on, thinking I would just bounce off like you would a POS, but as soon as I hit the threshold, I flew out at insane speed, something like 25 digits long for meters a sec. If I remember correctly, I ended up about 1 million km away. Been a while since I done it though.
Took me about two hours to make the safes. Takes a lot of patience, and "Threading the Needle".
