I like this thread. It has potential.
For what I'm not quite sure yet.
I would, however, like more defending of E-Honor between BRUCE and FOOM. My level 58 Paladin will be taking notes.

As for BRUCE, I for one am glad to see you cheerleading for BoB like a good pet to come avenge you. I look forward to future CAOD posts with much bitterness towards us when said Delve entities come after us, after all, the blame is much easier to lay on us then you, correct?

The entire eleventy billion EvE players who comprised the "Coalition" cared about BRUCE. Problem was, BRUCE didn't care enough for itself or its "friends" to stand with them. It only cared about making their own wallets fat with the irrational conclusion that isk would be able to defeat BoB if they came to visit.
As for the metagaming aspect, BRUCE is probably one of the only 0.0 alliances that didn't/doesn't do it, so I'm sorry that "we" had to be your instructor. Like I said before, we're happy to be the source of your grief, it doesn't bother us at all. If it makes you feel better, so be it.

This statement of yours shows that you get it. You used "us" and now you feel the consequences. Complaining about it will accomplish what?
In response to the M-D-K guy, please try to be a little more informed of the situation, or perhaps learn how to understand/comprehend what you read. We tried the nice-stick approach, this whole thing escalated because of BRUCE's arrogance to deals which (in hidsight to many many BRUCE members) was more than fair and benefitted them more than us.

I think its perfectly reasonable that a player group might bridle at such threats, especially given the cautionary tales of KOS and the various drone region entities that were not careful enough tiptoeing around RA.
In short, I find it disingenuous to claim to be offering friendship when the terms are subservience.
If BRUCE had wished to remain independent, then they should not have asked to be blue to the Coalition so they could occupy systems where they did practically no work to pacify. Then they proceed to use said coalition as their 'meatshield' so they could carebear it up in Fountain.
As for extortion, in December, PL sent a roaming gang to BRUCE who were not yet blue, an hour after the engagament, BRUCE contacted PL leadership begging to blue us with the promise that they would fight BoB. With the mediation of Morsus Mihi leadership, this deal was brokered. Now that we have a bit of history/time to compare notes, who extorted whom?
We offered our friendship on the mutual understanding of the bigger picture. No talk of subservience was ever considered. BRUCE full well knew that should BoB prevail, they would be a large target. BRUCE had a chance to do something about it as an equal entity to all other parties interested in the bigger picture/future, but they chose not to. Now they reap what they have sown.

Fact: I like how you included the prior 5 months of BRUCE's inactivity around Delve in determining why we are killing you now. That 1 engagement you speak of was surely the sole reason PL and Goons did not keep you blue. Honest.
I do dispute your claims as to the initial diplomatic conversations. I know the timeline of events since we moved in, I was graciously allowed to assist in my own small part in making those decisions. Go ahead and post the logs, it will show everyone exactly what we want people to know.
As for giving you credit, we do. Thank you for providing us a month of fun. Thank you for putting up awesome fights against us which both sides hopefully enjoyed. Thank you for showing us that carebears and farmers with pitchforks can do some serious damage. Thank you for showing the rest of EvE that your ideology can work in 0.0.
And if 1 vent spy can cause the loss of roughly 700 battleships and make a 120 man fleets run away from our 30 man gang repeatedly, then he deserves a medal. Maybe you can suggest one as I hear you have lots of models to choose from?
I know the truth. The truth is that BRUCE tried to be a big fish in the pond and got beaten by its own fat, arrogance and a smaller meaner fish 1/7th its size. If you wish to believe your version of the truth, go ahead. The bottom line is, did you have fun? We did.

That is a fact you have already admitted to. It was not a failure of mine. It was being niave to the fact that others cheat, and we did not sa***uard ourselves to it. Would bruce have lost fountain anyhow? possibly. But you have forever spoiled the win by your means to the end.
Welcome to Eve, where a huge amount of people look to cheat other players. You should listen to Fried's last Fireside, iirc he acknowledges that BRUCE has spies around EvE. Funny that BRUCE would stoop so gosh darn low to employ those methods.
You remind me of me, when I was in KOS and we were evicted from Wicked Creek. I was always eager to create excuses to make KOS the Shining White Knite it wasn't. Metagaming was enemy #1.
On a serious note, I had great respect for BRUCE, just not how their leadership was so out of touch with many many things.
