When I created my character, I wanted to play as soon as possible and therefore did not spend much time with creating the face.
I am sure that others have the same problem or want to change their face just for fun.
Therefore I would love it if stations with medical facilities would not only offer cloning but also offer plastic surgery which should enable you to re-create the character portrait. (race and gender should of course remain the same. change of gender would be funny though but that's not what I am looking for. Change of gender would be i.e. an idea for the conquerable cloning outposts in 0.0 systems (and not in empire, cause its i.e. forbidden by concord))
I think about 10mill would be a fair price, also to avoid putting any big extra load on the servers (updating the portrait on forums, etc.) it should be limited to once per month. (RP-explanation: the body needs one month to recover from the surgery)

Might be a display bug, try erasing it from yer portrait capture folder.
Oh, and look at my face. I *need* plastic surgery (or background/light setting change)!

I'm thinking more around 50 Million for such an operation....some people rely on looking at the face of who's in system to who they want to shoot.

i think that if nothing else, we should be able to "change" our portrait after using a clone (a.k.a., getting killed). think about it. does the clone know exactly how long each and every hair on my body was? well, then if so, forget this post. but i don't think that is the case. what about peircings? or tattoos? stuff that a clone probably wouldn't be able to replicate, right? so why not at least allow us to change these things after activating a clone:
- hair style and color
- eye color and shape
- tilt/orientation of headunit
- background (while we are at it, more of these please...)
- tattoos/extras
- costume
- lighting
everything else should basically stay the same. not only would this give us a way to change the way we look (once in a while), but it will give players something to do when they die other than ***** and moan. dying almost becomes tolerable...
"aw shyt. i just fuggin' died. wtf! i'm so sick of this crappy game and all of th--. oh cool. i can change the way i look. check this out! alright... [user forgets about rant]"
... right now the only bonus of dying is when someone is way far away from a station and they get a free ride back to their clone base. since we are in the process of balancing EVERYTHING in the game and EVERYTHING must have an equal up and down side. well, why not balance clone activation? make a new grade of clone if you want to limit the process (or if you wanted to add a cost in). say only Grade A+ and better can perform this option.
seems like something the community wants. so, i think it should be done. just make sure it's cool and makes sense too. i don't want to have to see some new crappy skillset arrive with this function. it should be as painless as possible to do this, but also not something that can be done while "bored" on a sunday afternoon. then every day people will be doing it. tying it into clone activation is a good thing. i think/hope it would limit the uses of it. that way people won't all rush out and do it at the same time without anything but a monetary cost to it. if people want to change their clone THAT badly, they'll wiat til they die or perhaps put themselves in harms way (which is fun) in order to accomplish the task...

Hmm not sure bout this one, think will get alot of male players changin sex and gettin a boob job done just to have something to look at. heh

I totally agree with Hellek.
I would like a haircut from time to time or a refreshing shave.
Also some more tatoos on my face would be nice.
