I thought it important to discuss a concept that has been pursued by various extreme loyalists. It is not heresy to use weapons other than energy weapons. As long as the weapons are being used to further the message of God there should be no problem.

I believe the use of energy weapons derives from the fact that Amarr loyalists prefer using Amarr ships, which have a decided advantage when using lasers, not so much due to Scriptural reasons.
At least, that was my understanding.

I am not aware of any loyalists calling the use of weapons other than lasers to be heresy.

I do not understand why any self respecting amarrian would want to fly any other ships then those of amarrian design.

I think that it comes from the belief that lasers represent the purging light of god...
I personally just hate hauling ammunition everywhere... And considering I do prefer ships of Amarrian design (Though a few Matari vessels are fun to pilot, mainly because of the speed that alot of Amarrian vessels lack)... Not too fond of Khanid design vessels though...

I am proud of our military heritage - even if maybe I have doubts regarding how our technology was used in the past. However, I see really no reason to fly ships and fit them in any other way than the Amarr used to do for centuries past. I am not fanatical loyalist, I do not think it is a heresy to use technologies of other nations. I just don't find need for it.

I happen to greatly enjoy using lasers to burn the misguided zealots that follow the empire's path. No matter what you call them, be it the "cleansing flames" or in my case "light of freedom" they are a good weapon system for getting your point across.
That being said I will use whatever weapons are at my disposal to destroy my enemies.

Funny, "rValdez" I recall not too long ago you praised Gallente craftsmanship of the Myrmidon, and flew it almost exclusively.

Realistically, the only reason I use energy weapons exclusively is that I have not yet had the chance to purchase the skillbooks for other weapons - something I intend to do shortly.
Say "Amarr ships suk, lol." I dare you.
