We have had a few missed chances killing this guy so when we finally got him in a stabbed,ecm ferox. we got a suprising reaction from a self proclained "wisebear"

This is why some corps have a rule against smack in local. It lets everyone see the quality of people they have in their corp........or lack of.
There are all sorts of smack. Intelligent smack, witty smack, mean smack, informative smack, etc. This falls squarely into the category of LAME.

The thing is, if there were no pirates preying on the miners then everyone would be mining. Which would drive the cost of the mined materials down as there'd be no risk attached. Which I guess means Pirates are doing miners a favour... Plus funding the security related corps as well of course...
I like my logic.

it still amuses me, how the hell do they manage to get scammed, ganked etc etc ?
if you lose your ship, you either do it cause:
a) you were kinda expecting that the moment you decided to do stuff that sooner or later gets you killed (pvp, travelling through lowsec etc)
b) you were stupid enopugh to jump into a game and not read anything about its mechanics
the forums and ttrials are here for a reason ffs!

Ive lost more money mining than pvp. I have an alt that I dont really use much beyond refining crap loot and hauling stuff in a freighter, but instead of just stopping training I have all industry skills and mining too. My idea was to semi afk mine in a barge while I work and even when I pvp.
Bought coverter, mined for a bit, forgot I was mining so my lasers kept going off, went for a smoke outside office, came back and 5k rats blew me up.
Decided to have another go, but this time Id mine in rancer where I was campiong with corp, got the new barge set ap to rancer and continued to gank newbs....then I ganked myself.
Never went back to minig again, too dangerous. |
