I have noticed that news about Players, Corps, and Alliances seems to be showing up less in favor of news about NPC happenings and upcoming game additions. But who really cares if some fictional character, in a fictional corp, does some fictional act, that only affects other fictional characters/corp/whatever?
What about us REAL people doing REAL things in EVE? We are ultimatley shaping the EVE universe yet we seem to get very little attention or credit for our accomlishments. Wars and large fleet battles or even huge mining and production efforts are going unnoticed to the rest of eve players.
There are some very interesting powerplays, epic battles, plans within plans, plots, espionage, capital showdowns, financial moguls and alot more that takes place in EVE that would interest the players (who are the ones who read the news btw) much more than all of this fictional NPC stuff.
I think the eve reporters need to get more in-touch with the players and what they are doing instead of making up stories that no one cares about. The only news we get is on the forums and is hardly accurate or from an unbias source.

Well I'm talking about stuff like this...
Federation President Affirms IshukoneÆs Account of Event, Denies Complicity in Malkalen Attack
Theology Council announces official day of mourning for Malkalen victims
Planned Protest Fails in Wake of Malkalen Disaster
When for instance our alliance, along with Smash, Atlas, and FIX just killed a Goonswarm Titan in an epic battle. Yet where is that even metioned? I'm sure there are alot more important news items that other players want to know but only find out from forum rants or rumors. These battles and such are stories going on daily but EVE reporters are too busy writing fiction.

Fictional stories have no place under the heading of news. If you want fiction, go buy a comic book (seems about your speed). But for those of us who are over 12 years old, news means current events that impact the REAL world. All the fictional crap ment to promote some up coming expansion is just a commercial for kiddies who can't comprehend more than the free prize at the bottom of a cereal box.
