I keep hearing about chribba, but I don't really know his story as much as everyone seems to.
As far as I'm concerned, he's strongly related to Veldspar, he hosts eve files, drops love cans around the space and holds some veldspar-whatever donation program...
Why is he so famous? Did he really mine ALL THAT veldspar?
Care to explain anyone? (Better if it's Chribba hismelf ^^)

Part of his fame is from Eve-files and the various other sites he hosts.
The Veldspar part i believe mainly comes from his Revelation dreadnaught "Veldnaught", which harbors in the Amarr system Emporer Family station. This particular dreadnaught is fit for chewing on the many Veldspar asteroids in the system.
He also runs a neutral cap-ship holding service, helping to prevent scamming in the sale of supercaps.

Chribba is a legend among miners. If he were to leave EVE for good, all the veldspar in the universe will rejoice and be merry, Veld prices will then plummet as we all know Chribba ninja mines every Veld belt during downtime.

I believe that Chribba was the first to ever mine in a supercapital. Just recently a friend joined Eve and confessed to me that his plan was to be the first to have a mining-specced supercapital. The truth was too much for him and he left crying.

Chribba is the games biggest carebear (term used loosly, i'd not want to meet him in a dark corner of eve), he has a rev fit for mining, and he is one of the more trust worthy people in eve by reputation.
