Bullet points are easy to the power of p'easy.
Who we are: - Well, Reasonable People. Says most of it all, really. We're also Of Sound Mind, but that's secondary. - Doing a bit of everything, which is cliche to say, but for us, it's true. We PvP, we run sigs, we mine and we have pilots who do every type of op, just depending on the day. - A corp that uses corp hangars to build micro corps within our larger structure - Usually mature, usually intelligent people - Non-pirate - NRDS but we've got more reds than Soviet Russia - Independent. We run our own PvP roams as a corp, we have our own vanity alliance, we do what we want. - We got goals and plans like Cobra Commander, not like Shredder.
What we hope you are: - You are a main, not an alt. You have more than 1.6 million skillpoints but less than 10 million, and have done the Sisters of Eve Epic Arc. Over 10 million skillpoints? Well if you're still over 10 mil and looking for a corp, you've either done everything a couple times already or you're a bitter old vet who somehow already hasn't found anyone that will put up with you. Judgments ho! - Reasonable individual. You don't throw emotional fits, you don't yell, you don't act like an idiot more than 1% of the time. - You're not obsessed with any one facet of the game, but like the overall nature of the game. You'll PvP, you'll mine, you'll run a sig, you'll run a mission, you're not a picky goof. - You're willing to share your limited API key, so we can spy on you and stuff. - Okay with a 5% corp tax, it helps pay for things. - You're down with relocation to our corporation bases of operations. - Ready to learn the game, or at least, ready to learn how to be better at the game. - Somewhat patient, at the very least, literate. You can manage reading text without falling asleep and having your eyes glaze over. Like this post. Certainly like this post. - You can spell reasonably well. And uh, you're not dumb. There, we said it. We were kind of avoiding just saying it, but sometimes it's just better to be up-front. We like people of at least average intelligence. So sue us.
Of special note on things we're looking for: - US and EU timezones. Half of our EU guys have insomnia and play in the US TZ, and a decent amount of our US TZ people stay up way too late, so it's really one timezone anyways. Kind of like life, one long timezone. - Corp mergers. The way we set-up our corp is akin to having an assortment of little corps in our corp. So if you're running a little 1-6 man corp and things are frustrating, and you want to be a part of something a bit larger while still working closely with your friends/corpmates, hit us up. Hey, we have an FC. You probably don't. Yay. - People who want to have their corp be a helpful community, and not a random assemblage of guys who kind of know who each other are and sometimes are asked to go blow up other random assemblages of guys who kind of know who each other are. We forget who you are, we remove you. Simple as that.
Additional research: - Our EVE-kill corp profile: http://rites.eve-kill.net/?a=home - RITES on EVE-kill.net - Old Recruitment thread #1: http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1250847 - Old Recruitment thread #2: http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1492791 - Dotlan: http://evemaps.dotlan.net/corp/Reasonable_People - the numbers go up and down because we're mean and boot inactives
Anyways, if any of the above sounds good to you and you meet most of the things in the "What we hope you are" section, then perhaps you should hit us up for a conversation. Join our public chat channel "RITES" by clicking on the little text bubble icon called "open channel window" that sits to the top right of your chat window. Then put in RITES and hit "join." There's more information in that channel as well.
Once you join our in-game channel, we'll have a conversation and see if we're suitable for each other, see if you're not afraid of commitment and see if you will have our babies. |

Looking for pilots in this game is like cleaning a fresh steps crystals litterbox, first you scoop out all the poop (poop in this case being pilots who are not 1-10 mil sp or active in either US/EU timezones), then you stir up and freshen the box till it's crystal fresh again. Please take advantage of advanced odor locking technology when hanging our in our RITES channel because we don't like people stinking up the place. |

Ok - I don't normally do plugs like this, but I have to say this.
I've been playing EVE off and on for years (since 2005). Off and on mostly because trying to find a good, QUALITY Corp is really difficult to find. Ones that actually do all the things listed in the first post of this thread. As a result of constantly getting into Corps I thought would be good, and turned out not to be (according to my definition mind you), I would quit for months before giving it another try.
I can honestly say that this Corp is what I've been hunting for for years. They are a great bunch, have an avid interest in seeing you succeed (because it only makes the Corp succeed), have a lot of good perks that they actually stand behind, and have their fingers in just about everything - from PvP to Exploration to Industry and R&D.
If you are looking for a good, QUALITY Corporation in EVE, these guys are it. |

Did you know: In the 1931 movie Skippy, 9-year-old Jackie Cooper had 3 crying scenes but had trouble crying on cue. One of the scenes involved a dog. The director Norman Taurog, also Jackie's uncle, had a security guard take the dog out of sight. When Norman threatened to have the dog shot, Jackie stayed dried-eyed, so Norman arranged to have a pistol shot heard. After the shot, Norman said, "The policeman has shot your dog. . . because you're more interested in the dog than you are in your work." After capturing Jackie's flood of tears on camera, they gave him ice cream.
We should totally repeal child labor laws, btw. It's a great plan! Anyways, join RITES chat today to discuss recruitment or well, we'll probably just shoot your dog. No promises on ice cream, however. |

Yeah, and when I took my Australian Shephard to a dog trainer that turned out to be terrible, the dog trainer told me that canines have no more intelligence than a 1 year old. Find me a one year old who can diagnose cancer just by smelling pee, *****. Feel free to stop by [SOUND] chat today, we generally figure out if you're a good recruit by making you urinate into a cup and passing it around to experienced corp members who judge it's aroma. |

"So, what do you do for a living?"
"Me? Oh, I give wild birds PET scans."
Turns out, crows can remember faces, the better to avoid people who shoot them. That's better than some Eve pilots!
If you're under 15 million SP, can remember that Red means 'shoot it', and can form complete sentences at least part of the time, come on into [SOUND] - we may have a proposition for you. |

Improvising Robots? But an Eve player knows that that's just the first step toward Rogue Drones. And those blasted Ogres - I swear my sentry drones move faster.
If you're nervous about the real-life drone threat ... well, maybe look into your meds at this point. But seriously, if you're between 1,000,000 and 15,000,000 SP and are looking for a corp where you're not bombarded by the stupid, talk to us in [SOUND] |

Did you know: Even though almost equal numbers of men and women spend time in the ocean, no one knows why sharks seem to prefer to attack men. In fact, nearly 90% of shark attacks have happened to men.
No one knows why? I know why. Because males are arses that go "Hey Shark, you suck Shark!" which prompts the attack, obviously. Women aren't generally known to trash-talk sharks in the same manner. Speaking of talking some trash, feel free to stop by [SOUND] so we can tell you how much you suck, too. |

Did you know: The grasp of a newborn baby is so strong that its whole body can hang in midair, with its bent fingers supporting its weight.
They also bounce really high with even the softest throw, like a basketball. You're a baby, really, just at EVE. You're grasping at the game mechanics, and you might be able to get your body hanging in midair, but like that baby... you're probably not yet blowing up spaceships. So crawl over to [SOUND] chat, read our white paper and see if we're the crib for you. |

Did you know: It's New Years EVE! Yes, the night when you're supposed to play EVE.
Apparently people in my corp don't know that, hence why I need to replace all of them with people who are reading recruitment ads on New Years EVE and understand that holidays that end in EVE are nights when you're required to play EVE. Stop by [SOUND] chat tonight and we'll ring in a new corp together. |

Did you know: The GÇ£exploding head syndromeGÇ¥ is a disorder in which when someone wakes up, they feel the sensation of an explosion going off in the head. This disorder typically occurs in the elderly. The syndrome causes anxiety, rapid heart rate, and sweating.
They really went all-out to name that disorder. Exploding Head Syndrome. Typically stuff like that has some fancy stupid word like Ataxymiosis or something. But no, not exploding head syndrome. Come join [SOUND] chat so we can EXPLODE YOUR HEAD with our awesome recruitment conversation. Actually, that's more like a headache to be honest. |

They're also at risk for losing the ability to eat the cheeseburger and everything on it. Yeah, I've probably used that one before, but my god was that show good. Come on by [SOUND] chat today, we'll do our best to keep your bones strong by not putting your head into the clouds with false promises but rather with grave facts about our corp. GRAVE FACTS YO. Did you know: Nigeria has the highest twinning rate (percentage of twins born per year) in the world at around 4.5%. Some experts attribute this number to the large consumption of yams in Nigeria
I'm sure it's a coincidence that these same 'experts' are also on the payroll of the YAM INDUSTRY. The yam lobbyists will stoop to any craven measures in order to push their pro-yam agenda. Come yammer at us in [SOUND] chat today if you're looking for recruitment, or if you also have tales of the abuse that the yam industry foists upon the world. |

Black and white dreams would be pretty nice. Almost every dream you'd have would be a semi-noir movie, even if it was about going and getting some popcorn from the local convenience store. Come hang out with us in [SOUND] chat so we can judge you starkly without any shades of grey. Or blue, red, green, etc. |

Which will one day evolve into magnetic-field controlling sharks, or Sharkagnetos, who will come to rule the planet by destroying all metallic items that we rely on. But until that happens, stop by [SOUND] chat today so we can work on evolving you into a better EVE pilot. |
