What has any company from where ever you are from contributed to the world?
The telephone invented by Alexander Graham Bell (scottish), without which (or rather without the technology it uses) the internet could never exist.
The Television, invented by John Logie Baird (Scottish) the technology that sprang from this gave us PC monitors and of course 50" widescreen TV's.
The World Wide Web, invented by Tim Berners-Lee (English) gave us the means to post useless rubbish on forums just like these.
Penicilin invented by Sir Alexander Flemming (Scottish) without which millions of people across the world would never have been born or survived any major illness.
Steel mass production invented by Sir Henry Bessemer (English) without which none of your shiny shiny American skyscrapers could have been built.
The Seismometer invented by James Forbes (Scottish) without which hundreds of thousands of people all over the world would have died due to lack of atleast some warning of impending earthquakes.
The Incadesant Lightbulb invented by Humphry Davy (English) although there is some evidence that the Egyptians invented something similar. Without which we would all still be using gas lights.
The Nuclear Reactor invented by Leo Szilard (Hungarian). Maybe not the best invention of all time but extremely useful nonetheless, without which none of your big fancy American Carriers/Submarines would be worth a damn.
So, just a few of the worlds more important inventions, all invented if not perfected by people NOT FROM AMERICA.
P.S Im not anti-American in case you were wondering, I happen to think the USA is a great country and Americans have been responsible for atleast some of the most important inventions of all time, but not all of them. Infact, not that many original ideas have come from your country, but then it is a very young country by world standards. Oh, and im English btw.
EDIT: Just wanted to say that I don't think that ALL Americans are stupid by any means. Stupidity isn't restricted to one country, there are millions of stupid people all over the world. Fight the stupidity I say, down with all the stupid people!!
