so let me think. i am a carebear and i have a corp with my 10 mates. you start war on us but we dont really fancy pvp. so you think that by setting up a new alt corp you will be able to hit us in our alt corp. have you actually thought that i could just have the corps under my alt chars and when i jump corps (and you jump to in order to continue the war) i can very simply jump to npc corp? what is the result? i am on npc corp so there is no war for me, and you get to pay while you have a war in my alt corp. interesting. if you really want to spend your isk just give them to me.

the game is for fun. that means that some enjoy pvp, others mining and others playing around for a,b,c reasons. a corp is not just a corp when you have the same name under your char. its also a corp when they share the same ventrilo chanell or when they have a chat chanell in eve. you dont really need an actual corp in order to have one. its all about the people and how they feel/interact between them. dare i say its the common ideas they have when in the game. its not in our interest the reasons why some people form corps, and what is/shoud be the code of honor in corps and wars. my posting was just a reply on what those that wish to avoid a war could do.

some call me carebear, others call me noob. i call my self a noob that is a bit older than 2 months old and not ready for pvp. i just expressed opinion on a question/subject you set as a possibility on your thoughts that you should take into consideration for those that want to avoid war/pvp.
p.s. one should fight when he/she can, and when ready. not when is not. is that a carebear?

Originally by: Janus Cohen Well unless you were a industrial character after two months I would expect you to be combat ready. maybe not BC ready, but you should be able to do some damage in a frigate at least....
i started totally mixed up as a char. my skills were a bit of everything (e.g. trade lvl 2) with no real path aiming no where. after friends told me some things i have moved into lvling learning and now moving slowly slowly into BC. so yes soon enough i expect to be able to fly one but not support it with the secondary things needed (whats the point of flying one when you cant have the shield, fire power etc). at the moment though a frigate can be ''fried'' if needed

what was the name of the corp or ally that set off with a few thousants gamers (according to what i was told)frigates and made its first attack on pos and won? i think its one of the big ones now. yes small ships and noobs can do damage if they are in numbers. all you need is organisation.
so far i have survived two wars with no problem or corp jumping. in both cases the enemies gave up coz they never moved up in our ''area'' and were just hopping that they will find some of us flying around solo.
you all talk about carebears etc, but me a noob (carebear??) was there waiting for them. the pvpiers never come. this is why i say that a carebear will only fight when he/she is ready as the rest of its time he/she has fittings for missions etc. being a carebear that doesnt really fancy war and pvp doesnt make you useless and it doesnt mean you dont know how to fight. it just means you are not always ready to fight

Honestly now, why i see more crying about the subject of the thread from the wannabe pvpiers or those that actually think they are pvpiers, in comparison to the carebears that have to deal with them??

one thing that we shouldnt forget is the usefullness of all those so called carebear. they are the income/production makers. EVE is a game with a really good economy. They keep it running. if the game turns into a total pvp machine then all those that dont fancy pvp will ''fly'' away. so in the end no more easy kills, no more easy production, no more easy access to almost anything they do/produce. so in the end it will be the pvpiers with a very bad economy and lots of their alts in order to make the game run again. they made those chars as they like the economy/production aspects of the game. had ccp any interests into making this game a pvp game, those chars wouldnt have been in the options. so after 4 pages of posts, i think that they are needed and should be left to ''fight'' in which ever way they fancy. besides there are many wannabe pvp corps and lots of 0.0 areas to go for killing.

Originally by: Ki An This is a myth cultivated by true carebears. The harsh truth is: Carebears are not needed in Eve. PvPers are needed. All PvPers have means of income that normally encompass what is known as "carebearing activities". The people who does nothing but mine or missions and want nothing to do with the competitive side of Eve are not, nor ever where, needed.
in that case dont forget to apply for developer in ccp and change the way the game is set in order to remove the mining/productive aspects of the game

how about something like a 4-7 day ''ban'' for joining a new corp and the war still on the gamer even if he/she is in a npc corp? that way they will not be able to jump around as nothing will change for the actual gamer, but when they join a new corp after the limit the new corp will not have a war due to one new member?
