I actually really like the Imicus model. Totally underused. I'm happy with the new Helios

So you all are sitting there... Why isn't XX happy? The Magnate is beautiful, and uber Rare.... We all can fly one.
Which is why i don't want that. I own a Silver Magnate. I love my silver magnate. I've owned one since January 2004. I don't want everyone to be flying around in it.. calling an an anthema.
The imicus and the probe needed some tech 2 loving... but OMG they are ugly.
Please please please.. oh goodness no.... don't ruin my magnate and let everyone else fly them.
(though something tells me they are on sisi and hence why the pics are out.)
The Silver (and Golden) Magnates are still super rare. They just share a model with something now. Its like the Imperial Issue Apocalypse- extremely rare ship (in fact, is it extinct now?), even though it shares it's model with an extremely common T1 ship and several other faction ships.
And Amarr needed that missing frigate more than EVE needed a unique model faction ship. And the Magnate has always been the smart choice- essentially, the game's only faction-issue ship who's T1 version hadn't been released yet.

It seems so, yes. I'm sure you already know, Amarr have one frigate less than the other races, for reasons never really explained; they're missing the astrometrics frigate. The Magnate model has been in the game forever, in the guise of the ultra-rare Silver Magnate and Golden Magnate crafts. It seems like the plain old T1 Magnate is now being launched as Amarr's missing astrometrics frig.
