A few months ago I drafted a public contract Auction that wasnt getting any hits, Until I was asked to repost as private item exchange. Purchaser said he was buying it cause it was just to damn funny. This of Course I did, But I then found out I couldnt show it to others to share the laugh of what I had done. Until now..

So Is this Epic, or was it just a big waste of time for me, eight hours of total work to get the collection, And a big waste of ISK for the purchaser?
Give me your thoughts please, LOLs are most welcome to.
A bit more info:
To get 100 rookie ships in one station as fast as possible, alone, Takes a little over 2 hours. Requires 2 acounts and mad undock/redock skills. Go to a station you have never been to in a pod and you get a free ship, wow, trade the ship to your alt, undock, then redock and wow another free ship. The largest chunk of the time is eaten up by the infomous session change count down.
To get 1000 Rookie ships it would take 20 hours Solo, or a little over 2 hours if you had 10 freinds helping. Its hard to find 10 freinds willing to waste 2 hours though, Otherwise It would ahve been 4000 ships in the contract instead of 400.
Before I did this contract I had done one other fo 100 Velators, it was a public auction, Starting bid was 1 million isk, buyout was 50 million isk, Winning bid was 3.5 million isk. Not bad for 2 hours work for a 13 day old charactor.
Interestingly enough I have had offers from people to buy more large collections of rookie ships, problem is it isnt cost effective work, And I only did te 2 I did for the laugh factor. And there were plenty of laughs.
So now I give you your chance to laugh as a comunity and share your thoughts on what I have done. So lets get this party started.

Should have made it 100 million, probably still would have sold. I'd have bought it if I'd seen it at that price.
Otherwise 20m for 8 hours work is just terrible :)

Thanks I fixed it now, stupid IE blocked it and I clicked the drop thing but it was still broke I guess, but fixed now... 
And to 100mil, I might be tempted by that to do it again.

And anything under 10 mil an hour is a waste of time if what you are trying to do is make money. Fun has no price, of course.

LOL its Duncan Bannatyne (spelling) who bought it. That dude makes me laugh for some reason. I always have the feeling hes up to something immense, when in realtiy hes sat in amarr all day tweaking buy orders by 1 isk.

Funny thought, Imagine you just completed acquisition on 400 rookie ships, and your hawling them to null sec in an obelisk and before scanning your ship a pirate pops you good, only to find the mess is bigger than he was hoping for, and worth way less. LOL.. |

Its also a good tactic for carriers - spamming noob ships out of the hangar as chaff to create node lag for your attackers so you can make a quick escape. |

Yea - but that's a exploit and you can get in serious trouble for it.
That many shuttles would never fit in a non-capital, not barely - and I don't think freighters can jettison so it shouldn't be a issue then. :P Thought it would be hilarious too see, but at the expensive of the guy who got banned for jettisoning them.

Seems like a low offer, Rough estimate of about 2 1/2 hours for 100 ships. Would take 25 hours of total work. At 10 mil an hour thats 250 million. But I am thinking the work is boring enough should be more like 20-30 million an hour. Probably take about a week to complete working on it a few hours a day.
Plus Seem there is a demand with not much of a supply, A supply thats large and at one station that is. You would think that would possibly increase the price to. But then again If I keep the price low and still make enough to make it worth doing, no one else would start competing with my business.
Lot of things to think about there.
Maybe when I get my new laptop I will try it once and see how it goes, and Auction it off starting at 250mil with no buyout, lol.
