I've been trying to find this Gravimetric Signiture for about two hours. I found it with my Muti Frequency probe.
So i've found out how you get set up to find certain things or if anything by useing probes. Like the Muti Frequency probe. I got my info from Eve-guides.com and a Video from called Exploration_By_DNightmare. So i've been useing Quest probes at planets and trying to find the hidden Belt with Gravimetric quest probes. But i've had no luck what so ever. Here is a screen shot of what i think i am suppost to be doing and covering certain distances.

So what is it i am doing wrong? Can anyone please help me understand how i got about finding things with probes? |

First, did you re-drop a multispectral probe after each hour of scanning to make sure the site is still there? It's always a good thing to check.
Also, it looks like you might not have 100% coverage on some of the inner planets; not really sure, low quality jpg is low quality. I might be a bit off, but you might try placing another quest on the outside edge of of P-5's quest in line between P-5 and P-7 (it looks like the off-plane planet is P-6).
Another thing of note, the "You are Here" probe shouldn't be necessary, though I guess it would give you a bit better signal strength where it overlaps P-5 and P-8. I personally wouldn't use it though.
Other than that, it could just be horrible luck. I once had the damnedest time probing out a .11 strength site, with it taking over 45 minutes of scanning to actually get a hit on it.

Well, exploration is chance based. Probably the site has weak signal or your Astrometric Triangulation skill is too low. Sometimes takes hours to find a site.

All exploration sites are located within 4 AU from a planet. This means you need to cover all planets with Quest probes (signal range 4AU). Your coverage is quite good, could be improved around the central planets. screenie (bookmark/probe at red X)

Hey than kyou very much the both for helping. i actually was able to put a probe right where that X was. I didn't realize that probe was so by chance. My skills for Triangle and pinpointing are at level 3. So maybe i do need to get high in them. i know i am training to level for ASAP. As they are traning now. i'll give it another shot and hopefully serveral and eventually i will hopefully have someting. |
