Obviously not intended to be a drone ship. But you can at least slap some T2 lights and murder some frigates.
Still, it's an Exeq. Never ever ever came to mind when I thought of combat. :)

Looks like that thing is going to absolutely murder Intys and careless HACs. I think this is one ship where a split weapon bonus is going to work very well.

Split weapons with split bonuses means basically you are cheated out of one bonus, because you need both ship bonuses to get one damage bonus to all your guns.
Ships that have 1 weapon system get that bonus and usually something else on top of it.
Also, where a Heat Sink on a AN Omen gives a damage bonus to all weapons, a Scythe FI needs a gyro and a BCU for that.
For that to not suck, it has to be made up by something. That 'something' is still searched for in the Scythe FI case.

Sure, if by "abysmal shield recharge rate" you mean "the best shield recharge rate of the lot." Quote: Also, imagine the cap consumption of the lasers with that ROF... *shudder*
Luckily, it also has the best cap recharge by a wide margin…

Damn Auguror gets one more high and two more lows than the Exequror. Hardly balanced given the **** poor drone bay on the exeq. It's even smaller than the regular exeq's. LoL

I agree, with its current layout, it is a ship specialising in running away. I simply don't think the minmatar ship lineup need yet another ship that is fast and good at running away with no other defining trait.
Then again, it may be to compensate for the new Fleet Stabber (5/4/6, 5 turrets/3launcher, 5% RoF, 10% tracking, +200something powergrid).

indeed, specially when you add the fact that it has a dmg + RoF bonus.
wich is something that I never seen in a blaster ship.
wich means that the ship, with gallente cruiser 5 has the damage of a cruiser with 6.3 turrets using only 4.
wich means gankage at T1 levels.

Hmmm..
Actually, the Navay Exec looks like it will make an excellent Heavy Tackler. Reasonably good base speed, 3 mids, (MWD, Web, WD) and 5 lows (let's see, nano2, nano2, OD2, OD2, DC2) and 3 upgrade slots (polycarbs, or low friction nozzles and maybe a cap reg?)
Ok, it's not an Inty (duh) but I'll bet you could make a good tackler out of that for not too much ISK. And you'd last longer than in a Frig.
Not a bad use for what is essentially a civilian ship.

Navy Omen. Navy Osprey.
Hell yes I am happy with these. I don't fly Gallente or Matari as much, but I glanced at the Navy Exequror and it did seem an interesting development that could be exploited usefully in the service of converting mass into energy.

Except Navy Vexor has 6,25 turrets and 6 lows and 4 heavy drones.
Otoh note that they have very powerfull bonuses and build-in nano. Something fishy here.
Edit: And build in overdrive. And small sig. Seems like instead of nerfing nano they have chosen to give nano to the masses. If the ships have reasonable price.

as expected.
now you see why I wanted dmg + RoF bonuses in the hyperion
you get this massive damage at very short ranges for a very few short time.

but then again, the GN exeq is one tier below the GN vexor, if we take into consideration the regular versions. ---

the scythe is an over power beast.
6 highs and able to fit 6 weapons with 2 damage bonuses so all weapons have have a damager bonus were as the ospray has 4 weapons and only 1 damage bonus the other is just a range bonus which dosnt help the ship at all

I feel Gallente got overlooked again.
I mean, with cap issues blasters are useless. Really, Thoraxes are cap stable and can support an omg tank. So the idea of a ship that costs 10x as much (I estimate Navy Exeqs around 40-50 mil) means you want it to actually work for what you're getting.
:\ If they increase the dronebay 20m3 so we can use 4 mediums, then you could swap out a gun for a nos even to keep your cap up.
Plus, the slot fittings on the Exeq demand more tank. Give it 6 lowslots so it can increase the tank or give it more drones. Pick, either it does damage or it tanks. 5 lowslots doesn't make the greatest tank setups. The Omen is obviously totally borderlining on broken, with HAC fittings for a tech 1 ship.
Finally, you give it a bonus to only medium hybrid turret.
Good luck fitting a blasterboat with that grid and medium hybrids.
Fitting options are what a ship comes down to. Just a thought.

wow, i was truely excited about this untill i saw the stats.
navy omen = win navy exeq = fail
lousy drone control, and only 4 turrents on a slow ship.... ?
cele would have been a much better idea ccp, exeq = fail, athough its perfectly in-line with the recent gal hate nerfs
