Heth-haan,
Congratulations on your new duties as the CEO of Kaalakiota. You have an awesome responsbility now that demands you act with prudence and care. It is no small thing to run the largest Caldari State corporation; your actions and those of your corporation will reflect on us all. You should study the lessons of the late Otro Gariushi well.
You, however, do not have the authority to quarantine any non-Kaalakiota employee regardless of their ancestary. You are violating the sovreignity of every other corporation if you think you can act in such a way. This security precaution could very well backfire and threaten all of our assets. You expect to hold the Gallentean expatriots until such a time as their innocence is proven; I would ask what crime my Gallentean employees might be guilty of? If you want to question any of my employees you will need to go through myself or gain authorization through the Caldari Business Tribunal to investigate my corporation.
I would also remind you that the masses are fickle, as evidenced by the Federation. You are riding a wave of popular support amongst those dirtside, but are now playing in a political arena that spans the stars themselves, where single individuals command firepower equal to any Home Guard Mechanised Battalion. The masses dirtside will not be able to ensure your will here. Tread carefully in your new position for you hold the fate of billions in your hands.
Do not mistake my words of caution as protecting the Gallente, however; I am protecting my employees as I am sure you would. Do not mistake that should the State find itself under threat from the outside, Lai Dai Infinity Systems will support and protect Lai Dai's and the State's assets under threat.
Sincerely,
Flos Keisari Chief Executive Officer Lai Dai Infinity Systems

Heth's actions in "quarantining" Gallenteans are absolutely, stomach-clenchingly repulsive. Utterly dispicable. It puts me in the mind of Amarrian actions against Minmatar - and Heth supposes that he and his new vision for the Caldari State are somehow more enlightened than other societies?
Madness. Utter insanity. -----

Yes, it does seem he should have arranged a CEP order instead of this "provist" business. While I have little love for the CEP anymore, I have even little love for CEOs of prosperous corporations stepping down and handing them to relative newcomers who have not proved their business skills.
I have my stock portfolio to consider after all.

Thank you, Keisari-haani.
Indeed, Heth is by far overstepping his authority. How would he make it happen? Send Home Guard forces into the bowels of Lai Dai or SuVee research centers and have them drag any Gallente assistants out in chains, while the security forces stand and watch?
I was born a Kaalakiotan and they gave me a lot, I was always glad to repay them best I could once I got my pod license. And now this. Haatakan Oiritsuu, you've been an outstanding figure for years... why? Why this? Why leave the most powerful corporation, part of the most powerful territorial entity, to somebody like Heth? His actions and speeches were dubious, at best. While some people are not sure whether he might or might not become a good CEO, he already prooved that Kaalakiotas interest are not his. He is misusing his power within hours after gaining them appointed, to further his personal aims. A CEO must be above this, and this man clearly isn't. To all non-Caldari, see it as a music star getting in charge of a major record lable after his first pop-flic was a surprise-success, and he subsequently dictates the company, no, ALL companys will from now on only advocate his' or similar musical styles.
I leave in mourning, as my home and patron entity succumbs into a new dark age.

Heth's announcement had better be a joke.
I have ordered my men to resist quarantine by any means needed and I'm giving him twenty four hours to renounce this foolishness before I come to retrieve them myself. And should the Cadari Navy attempt to prevent me, I will not hesitate to return fire.
This is a far greater act of war then Malkalen. Needless to say, I'm relocating all assets, personel, and buisness of mine to Federation space as soon as possible, regardless of what happens. Caldari space is simply not safe or profitable anymore.
I have absolutely nothing against the Caldari state. I was raised in it, I trade within it, and I have many friends within it. But if the only buisness Heth wants is the buisness of War, then I shall meet his demand.

I'm not complaining. It's freaking hilarious! It just seems so typical considering the days of our old corporate banter. Yuki, you and Kale always said the State was in a state.
You weren't joking.

So an Admiral of your Navy is less an act of war than an Empire doing something with its citizens? That they have Gallente blood doesn't mean the Federation can meddle in State affairs.

Nor does it give us the right to effectively kidnap them. The Minmatar kick up a fuss whenever a slave-raiding ship slips into their territory and takes a number of their citizens - the Federation has every right to kick up a fuss that a number of their citizens have just been unlawfully arrested without formal charges. Especially now, in the current fragile political landscape.
That they haven't already done so is surprising. Maybe all those jokes about the Federal bureaucracy aren't so far off the mark after all. -

I dont think we can really draw parralels between Malkalen and this. This is, so far, not bloodshed. Its bloody stupid and against all rules and human rights, State based or otherwise, but no ones died yet. Malkalen was....well, we all know what that was...-sighs and shakes his head- Anyway, Im suprised that respected and sensible CEOs are just 'giving up' their positions...How much power does Heth need? Or should he have is the big question... ****************************

Heth is, put bluntly, a raving twit poorly disguised as a "deeply passionate" politico. His political repertoire is certainly scarce enough to reveal him as such, since his one technique for shoring up popular support is to use bellicose rhetoric to whip up the angry masses. This is not a new strategy amongst politicians. Indeed, it has served as the old fallback for every troubled regime in memorable history; if things are going badly, blame the foreigners and get everybody real p***ed and patriotic.
I can only sincerely hope that the people of the Caldari state have the perceptivity to see Heth for what he is: a cheap soapbox provocateur, amateurishly masquerading as a leader as he bellows his nonsense in the public square.
Oh, and a word of anecdotal caution to the Caldari: the last time we, the Gallente, let our government be seized by highly conservative, militaristic ultranationalists, we tried to bomb one of our own demographics into oblivion because they dared to separate from the Federation's mad dominion. Sound familiar? I'd hate to see the Caldari repeat the same mistake with their own people.

Indeed, the similarity is not lost on many of us; I am shamed by my people, the need for change is strong, but not every change is good.
My employees are all Caldari, whatever their origins, and none will be ôquarantinedö while I hold power.
I implore the management of the other mega corps to calm down the ambitions of Heth, he has attained the highest possible rank in our society, if he gets access to more power than chairman of KK, the State will start to resemble the federation of the worst hours of our historyà

It is times like these when I'm comforted to be a Federation citizen. I can't imagine how frightening it must be to be roused in the middle of the night and herded into quarantine encampments like prisoners. Such hard work and commitment by honest Gallente seeking a profitable life, only to be thanked with shakles and distrust.
Look where your xenophobia and distrust have led you, citizens of the State. Your pride and ego have made you into what you once despised in the Federation, and now you point your anger towards the convenient target. Don't be fooled by the talking heads crying for war and persecution. Let your voice be heard and your sense of right dictate the true course. The inalienable right to pursue ones own path is at risk, and how soon will it be before they come for you or your family?

Executive Heth,
As a capsuleer of high standing to KK I must advise against this course of action. The current course will lead to stockholders total loss of investment. If you must fight your war do it on the backs of your support on the planets. My support for KK has ended until civilian control is returned to power and investors' goals can be satisfied.
As Flos stated the power of a single capsuleer far out weighs someone planet side and a single Caldari battalion is no match. I will not hesitate to exemplify this. ---- Yo-con Die-foo-koo |

As much as I agree with the opinions about this being a very ... doubious act when it comes to maintaining peace I can't help but see great irony. So many Gallenteans warning they will not be taken without a fight, so many saying that Heth is gathering all the power he can. Well my friends, of course he is! His aim is to control the state and drive it straight into war with the Federation. What else did you expect from him? The ironic part is, that it was your most repspected and trusted Admiral that gave Heth means to do that. He is just a good player at politics, siezing the chance he was waiting for - he will not care that you will fight for your freedom as that has been taken away from you. Maybe the Caldari people would object to Heth's actions, as you Gallenteans are also contributing to the State's profit, but what Noir did put most of the society on Heth's side, giving him the most powerful political tool - support of the common folk. Two things that could have pushed us straight into war after Malkalen were the lousy acting on behalf of the Federation government and well played political game by Heth. It is surprising that both of these happened. We may call for reason, for pease, for calm - no sense now, the fate of this conflict will be decided by war. That much is guaranteed.
EDIT: Clarification I am not supporting Heth on that - war is worst solution to current problems, and acting with intention of worsening the realtions with Federation is going to war. That what leads to evil is evil in itself.
