My Char is a Domi Pilot, with alot of skills in Drones but very little in guns.
The current plan before drones became targeted was to have the domi fire a small gun to take most of the aggro, then clean up with my t2 heavies or mediums.
This plan however is not working as of late with the changes to the drone aggro policy. Now my drones are getting targeted at random, and losing 1 Million a drone is starting to bother me..
suggestions?

You need a lot of tank and grab all aggro, then let out your drones, make sure you tell them to stay away from triggers.

Yeah...this shouldn't be happening to you, but...one way to control the situation better is to use sentries for distant targets. It will keep your drones closer to the boat for recovery if they are aggroed.

Only mission that ever gave my drones issues was Worlds Collide, you just have t o know to recall them and take agro yourself when new spawns arrive.

'The Assault' is another mission with lots of drone aggro. But still they're especially helpful there because of the massive dampening.
Losing one drone from time to time is the equivalent to ammo costs . But fitting a remote armor repairer helps to reduce losses.

It took me a little while to figure out drones as well on my raven before I stopped getting them popped. The thing is that any rat that doesn't have FLASHING RED BRACKETS can shoot your drones. Yellow brackets means they are aggro'd on you but aren't yet in range. Some of the time yellow brackets will just keep on coming until they get into range, the other times they will shoot your drones if they are in range and you aren't. To be perfectly safe you never release your drones when there are any rats without red brackets, and return them to drone bay if any new rats spawn. Once you've done this enough you can start to keep drones out and juggle them when they get aggro if you want to micro manage them.
