Fun, profitable and most of all hilarious! the Rules: Max 2 freighters per corporation Entry fees will pool down to the winner(s). 10 jumps race for starters. no one is responsible if your freighter gets bumped You corp must not be envolved in any wars "safety" if this is something you're interested in please go ahead and join the following mailing list so we can connect all our dots and get up and moving with this fun project. mailing list is Freightways Express Our agenda: decide entry fees pilots and their ships getting registered ammend the rules if needed decide the race route/distance/systems getting it done and having fun. cheers and good health To the world you may be somebody, but to somebody you may be the world. Just imagine how hilarious this entire thing will be and also if you are the top racer you'll get a good chunk of isk.. A good chunk of isk = all freighters signed up will pay a sign up fee, all those fees get added up and the winner gets all the sign-up fees.." all freighters will be ganged up so you know how many ships in the race, also you can figure out sign up fee X ship numbers = the total pay-out for the winner! simple, we're not doing this for profit, or to scam anyone, we carry our reputation and honor well above the material side of life "the game" so tell your friends and come on sign up and have a good time and a laugh!!

I doubt anyone would bother to suicide an empty freighter in highsec unless they have some sort of a personal drudge against them. You need like 10 battleships to succeed and you will lose them all.

High sec ganking on freighters is very unlikely, to ensure the safety of your RACER, we can implement REMOTE Reppers at the gates.

This way it would definetly be a battle to get to point B. There should be a limitation or levels for the convoy sizes. So that it would be balanced. There should be MAJOR wins, and losses. Something that the pirates would definetly go after. Perhaps not ISK, but...tags...who wouldn't like LP Store stuff? :)

The idea of waypoints is great. This can be regulated by setting up zero isk courier contracts. The contract should be a cheap item that requires a freighter to haul it, like a Freight Container. Each participant is assigned 4 courier missions. The cost of entry can cover the cost of the freight containers in addition to a pot claimed by the winner. The first to complete all 4 courier missions is the winner. Jump Freighters are not an issue since they can't carry 4 Freight containers at once, but should be allowed to participate nonetheless -------------------
Dr Sheepbringer	Posted - 2008.06.05 07:26:00 - [21] Timing is never convenient with me, but I can just throw in the ideas :) But I still think tags would be a better idea for the prize. Or perhaps T2 prints... etc. Something that is valuable for everybody (some sums of ISK aren't).
