I see FW more about developing the storyline of the four main factions after the "cold war" than just a pvp+pve system.

Depends how they intend to develop the core storyline during FW, really. Right now it's just looking like an instant-action pvp-athon with RP elements tied in.

It is a very valid concern that also others have started to question: Is there any way to gain isk from Factional Warfare or is it all about spending?
In no sec having a strong presence gives you the benefits up being able to put up logistics that can help you to earn isk through, ratting, asteroid mining and moon mining. These logistics are already in place in low, available to everybody and the income from those 3 methods are very low compared to "safe" activities in high sec.
But again, it could be intentionally that CCP do not want you to stick with FW forever, and instead decide if you want to go to no sec to play the alliance game or go to high sec and care bear. ---------------- Mr. Science & Trade Institute |

This basically echoes my concern; as it stands now, FW seems to just be a ISK sink..? --

Edited by: DK112 on 24/05/2008 00:14:44 Does anyone know the release date or an ETA of FW/EA? I'm pretty anxious about it myself.

You never know FW might be the new model of how ccp might redo alliance warfare in the future. Cut down on blobbing and go after multiple targets in smaller groups then 250 on 250. If God was a number he would be over 9,000!!!!!!!!! |

If you fly cheaply, you are asking to get killed.
So I will be there in a HAC most likely... I might even fly a Guardian just for fun :)
If there is a good monetary gain, and its good enough, I will be there in a Paladin most likely, showing off the Empire's might.
I just hope I dont come against a griffon >.<
