So he lost his QUAD tanked Raven to a Retribution. One would think he would leave and lick his wounds a bit after that 100mil loss. Wrong. He came back in an Itty 5 with cargo rigs and died. Another 65mil down the tubes. At this point, most normal people might give up. Not this chap. He decides to aggro again, only this time, in his Hulk with a T2 cargo rig and a T1 cargo rig for a snazzy 550mil loss. I always hesitate to call people Ebayers, but I was left scratching my head on this one. I can't wait to hear the full explanation when I log back in tonight.

Just the other day, my friend and I (he was in a punisher, me in an arbitrator) killed a triple ccc rigged Abaddon with a comedy tank of...drumroll...4 EANMS, a large shield booster, 3 small shield extenders, with medium pulses in the highs. Pathetic really.

Still, that is one of the oddest setup Ravens I've seen in a while. I like to say it's almost like they bought a brand new battleship, then took it out unfitted and looted high sec npc frig wrecks and used exactly what they found in each wreck. I cannot wait to hear the full story though. I think we might have to dec that corp. Their pockets are way too heavy with ISK.

A Retribution will eat a ratting Raven for lunch. Ravens use torp/cruise and generally don't fit webs. And lasers tend to be rather effective against shields. Plus the Retribution can kick some pretty hefty damage. Only defense a Raven would have is drones, and Caldari pilots who rat in battleships tend not to have very good drone skills. You are facing a enemy who do 1999 Damage for every hit, but you can repair your armour up to full and boost your shield up to full before every volley. If you are not Dual tanked you will only be able to sustain the first volley, but the second volley will do 999 structure damage, so you will eventually die from the damage that bleeds trough. If you are dual tanked, you will never bleed trough to armour, and in this very specific and unlikely to happen situation, you will actually be better of with a dual tank than anything else. In conclusion Dual tanked setups may work in a very specific situation. we are recruiting!

Working in a situation where your opponent can strip your entire none-structure hp in a single volley is going to give very similar results to not working at all. CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that.
