I find targets to shoot down, and I have fun doing it solo. The idea is to be smart about your game and not belive that you should be able to warp about killing everything you see, that just wont happen, you ocasionally bump into a gang and you have to pay up or get killed...
If your smart you will never bump into targets you dont intend to kill...
People lol at my cloak domi, but they soon relise what they are up against when I catch them with there pants down :)
3 hours I spent tracking a guy untill he was alone, and then BAM I warped in on him as he was at a safe spot looking for another target :)

I have an idea for proper solo PvP.
An ARENA system. Like akin to Solaris VII in the battletech universe. You dock, people post that they want a fight. I'd say it's best sorted by SP. Two people agree on the rules, fit their ships, warp to a deadspace zone and it's ON.
I was actually doing this on singularity for FW testing. Had some great 1 on 1s.

Not everyone thinks allince-online is fun. It's not fun to sit 2 hours in a safespot waiting for an en enemy that may not arrive. And if the enemy arrive, its not fun warping with your fleet to them only to wake up in a station because your laggy game made it impossible to activate any modules.
I'm not asking for you to hold my hand, just give us lone wolfs something so we can have some fun. Solo pvp was once a big part of EVE, why did you remove it?
They didn't remove it, you're just asking for it on a plate.

Please note I am not using all caps out of respect for the forum... even though I want to scream this from the top of my lungs.....
I don't know where people ever got the notion that the term "MMO" ever implied "cooperative game play" in any way. It simply does not! So stop it! "MMO" merely means "massively multi-player online".... and nowhere in that phrase is there the slightest requirement or hint that the players cooperate or organize in any way. Although any game model may include cooperative style play, that is a game design decision made in each case.
Yes Eve is a game that not only uses cooperation, but requires it, but that in itself is a feature derived from its design,not the fact that it is an "MMO".
Just my pet peave on terminology. End rant.
