I'm just curious if you are planning on tweaking something so it would be possible to find 1vs1's and not just 'bring a friend if you got blobbed'? Today solo pvp is dead, is that really how you want it to be?
Not everyone thinks allince-online is fun. It's not fun to sit 2 hours in a safespot waiting for an en enemy that may not arrive. And if the enemy arrive, its not fun warping with your fleet to them only to wake up in a station because your laggy game made it impossible to activate any modules.
I'm not asking for you to hold my hand, just give us lone wolfs something so we can have some fun. Solo pvp was once a big part of EVE, why did you remove it?

I solo.. ALOT so its fine, u wont find a huge amount of it as its meant to be a mmo not a one player game with hosted 2 player, i suggest one of those

If you want "fair" 1-vs-1, find a willing opponent and steal something from the other's can.
If you want "unfair" 1-vs-1, look for it. You probably won't find it, but you can't ask CCP to "give" it to you.

you could solo a long time ago and people still do
i guess you should of been here earlier i guess
but agreed with poster above it is a mmo deal with having to actualy communicate with more than that aura

I'm not really talking about fairness, screw fair I'm just saying the gamehas been catering alliance warfare for the last years and solo pvp has suffered because of it.

For something to be dead it must have been alive at some point, right?
The only way for CCP to assure solo pvp would be to implement some Dueling feature and I am pretty sure that will never happen.

Just because its an mmo shouldnt mean you have to become an alliance minion. There are many people who would pvp on their own rather than in a gang. Its still mmo if you pvp alone as its against other players.

I've got plenty of solo kills. You just can't be surprised if you get a trap dropped on you and you can't be surprised if you go out in a BS and no solo cruisers want to fight you... pick your ship, pick your fights and you'll be fine.

i was unaware that solo pvp had anything to do with 1v1.

There's plenty of 1 v 1 or small gang fighting that goes on in Eve. Particularly so in low-sec, but in some parts of 0.0 as well.

…or its corollary: if you're in a fair fight, the other guy's backup is running late.
Also, there are plenty of 1v1:s to be had – you just have to kill off the other 19 guys first.

It says in the description you can be what you want to be. It was fully possible to solo pvp before red moon rising. Even if i had wingmates, we would just be blobbed.

well .. solo PvP isn't dead (in the sense of 1v1 or other microscale encounters). it's just a bit hard to find.
in my experience it's more of chosing the right places and times to get some interesting fights.
like:
- non-prime time ... trying to solo in the peak hours means either you'll bounce safespots a lot or you're fitting a new ship soon
- NPC regions ... a more diversified demographic in regards to standing, since you don't have to be aligned with the locals to dock/live there, it's an easier starting point for solo players/small corps.
that said, i'm flying a blasteranis for solo PvP so that makes getting blobbed not *that* much of a problem.

U can occasionaly find it, but usualy it's that you jump on solo guy in your shipsize, and notice that his 24325234 mates are in warp. So you turn on overheat, finish him fast and run.
And that's ok, you can solo but it's HARD.

Yea pretty put Solo PVP is the best If u solo pvp alot ur going to be very good at pvp peroid. Solo pvp has always existed and always will do u just have to remenber when soloing that u remenber that the guy ur killing might have friends. However thats eve ive been solokilling for years and yes its hard but thats the point. However you will find it hard to find a 1on1 u just have to find it and hope he doesnt have friends and if he does hardluck u got blown up thats eve now stop moaning at solo pvp being dead cause it isnt and never has been.

My game these days consists of solo PVP/scouting at week ends, and missions/mining during the week :)
I find targets to shoot down, and I have fun doing it solo. The idea is to be smart about your game and not belive that you should be able to warp about killing everything you see, that just wont happen, you ocasionally bump into a gang and you have to pay up or get killed...
If your smart you will never bump into targets you dont intend to kill...
People lol at my cloak domi, but they soon relise what they are up against when I catch them with there pants down :)
3 hours I spent tracking a guy untill he was alone, and then BAM I warped in on him as he was at a safe spot looking for another target :)

Yea in my oponion Solo PVPING is the best in the game and also the hardest (however also gives the highest rewards).

About 40% of all our recorded kills are solo. That's around 3000 solo kills since I founded my corp. Granted , there's a lot of macrohaulers but still

Solo pvp is not dead, but it is much harder than it was. The patch that added more HP to every ship and nerfed t2 ammo types did the most damage.
That made fight times extend to point it is much easier for target to bring friends in while you chew through his tank, or in many cases made the solo pilots ship of choice (which tend to be designed to avoid blobs, not deal enourmmous dps) much harder to break tanks at all.
So yeh, I'd love to see a re-balance a little toward solo pvp.
That said I still solo a lot and love it. Get yourself into a fast/agile ship and into low sec or 0.0 that borders low sec space and choose your targets with care, one eye on local at all times. Fit a cloak so you can go afk if you get blobbed up and bubbled in.
1 huginn versus 4-5 ratters is highly enjoyable, if not reasonably risky. Pray you don't desynch
Note: by solo pvp I do not mean duelling, I mean the ability of 1 person to go out and take on any number of targets in a meaningful way.
