if you can PK in FW, thats gonna make it really difficult for new players to train skills...
well maybe not difficult - but LONGER. What about all those implants that noobs grind storylines for? Or spend 50mill+ on?
Sorry of a dev blog has overed this - if so i haven't seen it!

Edited by: Hannobaal on 25/05/2008 22:03:16 I would refuse to participate on pure principle if they prohibit podding (which isn't even possible to do in the first place).
Don't be such a wuzz. It's very easy to avoid being podded in low sec, and in either case if you're afraid of being podded don't use implants or use a special jump clone without implants when you're fighting. How do you think those of us who play in 0.0 (with bubbles and what not) get by?

fairly well known trick: when going down, keep spamming warp at a station/gate as you go down, if you do it enough then a warp command should get through the lag and you warp off. -------------------------------------------------------------- Seriously, we need some kind of separation between the post and signature. There you go. Now that wasn't so hard |

If you are podded in low sec, YOU made a mistake even after the first one of getting caught. ---------------------------------
Oh noes!

Outside of 0.0 only really bad lag and smartbombs can get your pod killed.
If you find yourself in a fair fight, something has gone wrong |

You should never get podded outside of 0.0 ever. But seriously, more people should have some type of spacer in their sigs to show it's not part of the post. |

I can think of a few answers to this 'problem'
1) Don't get podded. The 'jam *warpto* button' method is my favorite (Do it when you know you're going down aka before you're in your pod 2) Use jumpclones. Train it up. Have a jumpclone with your fancy +5 learnings and then a clone with your combat implants or no implants. Up to you. 3) Ctrl + Q ---------------------------------------

To those who talk about jump clones, the OP mentionned new players, and unless I missed something in the last devblogs, explaining how being in a militia will let you create jump clones easily, I doubt new players will have the standings needed to make one. _________

However, people that new to the game don't have 50 mil worth of implants plugged in either.

Yeah, complaining that new players can't use their +5 implants is kind of an oxymoron, no?
PS - I'm 4+ years old, and I've done just fine without implants this whole time.

Ehmm, you might want to include a really bad case of the shakes in that list
As far as getting a rush goes, getting beaten in a really close fight still beats the easy gank in my book.

Only if they are STUPID enough to join Factional Warfare and becoming valid targets just about everywhere, when they aren't ready for it.
For FW to have ANY effect on new players, when talking combat, they have to actually join FW. If they don't, it's normal EVE - you're a target everywhere, but you have some protection in highsec. If they do join, it's FW EVE - you're a target everywhere and it's kill or be killed...
