Hey CCP,
Instead of seeing the same generic race information when one clicks on a ship, it would be cool to have personalized bios that we can make up ourselves. Right now its kindof boring to click on a ship and look at its pilot because the information is just going to be the same old race description that everyone has. If we could right a message that would be displayed whenever someone looked at your info, similar to the signitures on our post, it would make the game just that more interesting and personalized. Hope you'll seriously consider this option.

Yep it would be great to be able to do your own little writeup/description of your character.
Of course you will have those who will fill it with L33t d00d I will pwn j00 throw in a few obscenities and you get the idea.

One thing I'd like to see is a kill tally on each playes info screen. One reason so many players, OK well maybe just me, were upset that the new system of hardly getting any Sec Status improvement when killing pirates, is that a high Sec status was a reflection of how many pirates you'd killed.
Like all figher pilots it'd be nice to be able to have a provable way to show off <grins>

I have posted a suggestion like this several times, glad to see more players agreeing it's needed in the game.
I don't think the notes window covers this function at all, as the point of this being representing oneself to a player who hasn't interacted with you. Rather than intaracting with a fellow pilot to such an extent that you make a viable impression on a fellow pilot who then has to actively use the comment window, your own comments will instantly show other players your playing style (Roleplaying vs. non-roleplaying, maturity, etc) so they can contact like-minded people or filter out players who don't fit their idea of what eve-playing should be.
Some suggestions on information that could be included:
In-character: Family information, business activities, homestead, personality traits, career, etc
Ooc: Player time-zone, roleplaying/non-roleplaying, other languages
I think EVE needs a presentation window badly. Especially if you're a roleplaying type.

Yes, that would be nice. Also I would like to see the kill tally, whether it be the number of NPC Pirates you've killed or Players..would be a nice way to show off your combat experience =D

Wouldn't it be cool that you could get extra information about the person if you had the correct skills, background or simply money?
So that if you click on a person and info/agent. pay 100k isk then you get some info that might be slightly usefull, like a little about his skills, his equipment etc.

This idea is wonderful, and i have to admit that i've wanted something similar from the beginning. It's not as if we're asking for custom ship skins or anything. Text takes up very, very little bandwidth. I would suggest, however, that the character description have some basic fields so that someone can get the feel for someone else's character at a glance. These would include the CURRENT VESSEL'S NAME (would *really* like this! what's the point of giving my ship an awesome name if i'm the only one that can see it?!), the primary occupation of the character (miner, fighter, explorer, pirate, scavenger, bounty-hunter, freelancer, etc.), number of npc pirate kills (could be referenced from Wallet records easily), number of player starships destroyed, number of pod-kills, number of systems explored, etc. Then below these fields would be a paragraph or two description with a reasonable amount of space to flesh-out your character. No 30 typed-character limits, CCP! Would be very frustrating! Also, it should be easily editable, as repeatedly and often as the player wishes, and should be information that is checked by other players' computers each time they check that character's info, and not cached. Any changes to a person's bio are immediately apparent. A person can start out as a small time miner, and then move onto bounty hunting if they like. How embarassing to be a fearsome hunter of intersteller scum with a bio for some guy cutting up bits of space rock with a plasma laser and some rusty drones... :D
Just some suggestions. Take what you like and leave the rest...

Woot great idea--I like it especially if they added your skills number of kills and maybe medals for number of pirate kills and such so when you apply for a corp they can look you up see that you have great skills and am expierenced at killing, sort of like a resume.
Then they could say yes he is experieced and then look and next application and see well this person is new we want the experienced one. |

This is a good idea. We meant to do something like this, remeniscent of the old character sheets in pencil based role-playing games.
Consider this added to our tasklist and to be implimented in as soon as possible.
