Alright, we got some Dev attention! I am in...I was trying to model a sample Industrial Mining Vessel just last week. As far as the one current model...I like it! But I am not sure if it fits gallente. ------------------------------------------------

That one a couple up is real hard to see mate.
I am still working on the concepts for mine, no where near a model that would look decent, lol. This is a lot harder than it sounds! ------------------------------------------------

Edited by: Garramon on 17/05/2004 18:42:10 Alright, I got my first WIPs up on the web. This ship is Gallente, and it is dubbed "Maxeron."
I am having some issues with smoothing groups ATM, but it still looks pretty decent in these renders.

Atea, on second look at my ships, I still like them, but I am starting to think they do look more frigate sized than BS sized, as you said. It is easier for me to do my concept right in the modelling program, so I will be back at it again later today!
I really like working with the Amarr style, so I am going to try to make something that looks like it has a lot of mass to it, but still following the style. ------------------------------------------------

I'll be working on another Amarrian ship tonight. I will try to skin it, as it seems that makes a HUGE difference on your opinions. ------------------------------------------------

Milkshape 3D is a good program for beginners. You can get a 30 day free trial, and its really easy to switch between modes (F keys) ------------------------------------------------

The Argo one is good....but doesnt it look a bit much like a bestower? Swap it to be yellowish instead of green and there ya go! ------------------------------------------------

I like it, but it is a bit too symmetrical for Eve. Great way to do a concept idea though.
Here are some WIPs of a Caldari model, the Articuno?

Edited by: Garramon on 02/07/2004 05:31:31 A suggestion for anyone trying to model...Open the Eve Ship Database and look at the pictures of all the ships of that race very closely. It will help you get in the right frame of mind.
EDIT - I finally figured out how to delete double posts, whoo! ------------------------------------------------
