He was just talking about how England (who sucked quite bad this season) pulled off a decent performance in their last game, although it was against a fairly minor team (as you guys all happily agree). The OP was just talking about a football match, in the way that all football matches tend to get talked about, and which presumably does matter to some people somewhere. Why get involved if you don't care? Well, OK, now it's just a generic "my sport's better than yours" flamefest and there's every reason to get involved. Its why I'm posting, after all.
